ABC - enough said.

We already know the debate analysis before it even happens (kind of like Kamala knows the questions before the debate happens).

This thread may have been a little premature. At this rate it'll be at least 200 replies before the debate.

I guarantee you there will be a question phrased like this:

"Mr. Trump (doubt they even call him former President) if you lose this election will you accept the results or will you try to cause another January 6th type insurrection?"
Prosperdick

Also this question:

"As a convicted felon, why should the American people trust you or want to vote for you."

I'm also calling my shot, like the 2020 Biden-Trump debate there will be exactly ZERO foreign policy questions despite the fact we're entangled in three proxy wars.

Kamala will have several goal-tenders working for her. I see several Candy Crowley moments where ABC jumps in with specific news cuts to prove her points.

The talking points will be the same on every MSM outlet afterward.

If it goes really bad, I see some kind of emergency exit for Kamala and Michelle taking over. Not sure if this is possible but when did laws start to matter when it comes to an election?

After the MI SC ruling I think this thought is a no go, if they didn't allow RFK Jr. off the ballot then they can't let Kamala off. Well unless she makes a trip to Russia and falls out a random window like so many do.

So his answers will be no different than the last umpteen times he's faced that question.

And the one in the post immediately following the one I quoted. These are not new questions for Trump.

What was decided, microphones will be on or off?

Off when not your turn to speak

That's probably a good thing.
Definitely.

She wanted her "I AM SPEAKING!!!" moment at the debate. Won't happen if the mics are off.

Unless they've got a plan to not show the split screen an allow her to fake it when he isn't talking.

This

She desperately wanted her "A black woman is speaking!" moment and isn't getting it now

For once it feels like the candidates not being able to speak during the other's remarks helps Trump, if she knows the questions she probably already would have pre-planned objections/"fact checks".

Yup, to me that's what gave the game away. How could you have fact checks/objections ready to go unless you already knew what the questions were going to be

From what I've read, Trump hasn't done much debate prep.

I'm sure his advisors have given him a good game plan and responses to explain his policies and to distinguish them from Harris'.

The question, as always, with Trump - Will he have the discipline to stay on script and paint her as the radical liberal that she is and at the same time explain to the American public specifically what he's going to do for them and distinguish it from Harris' positions.

He's got one shot at her. I hope he doesn't squander this opportunity by wandering off to name calling, questioning her heritage, and the 2020 election results.

He's got to make every second count.

You would think. But I've also heard that the Leather Holtz interview shook her to the very core. Mentally and might not be able to handle it.

Another part of me tough says, yes. If she fails spectacularly absolutely, do it again!

Just on NBC the story was that she plans to "needle" Trump and then right after they played a clip of her saying we don't need to be divisive.

So how is needling someone during a debate not divisive?

No matter what he says, she and the Democrats and the media will say he was misogynistic and racist. She will make a fool of herself even with the questions and they will still pretend like she will be able to handle the world leaders.

And that's the laughably sad part. Neither of them need the questions. Lets see....

Be prepared to talk about, in no particular order
  • Urban Crime -- touches elements of multiple below
  • The Border -- Immigration, drugs, human trafficking
  • Inflation -- wages, food, energy, childcare, healthcare, College (and education in general)
  • Taxes
  • Ukraine -- support? exit strategy? NATO
  • Israel -- Hostages, Hamas, Terrorism, Security on the high seas
  • China -- Tariffs, Onshoring/Offshoring jobs, Taiwan straits
  • Abortion -- Federalize Roe or keep it with the states
  • Your first day in office
  • Unity government / reaching across the aisle
In 3 minutes I came up with what will likely comprise, in some form or another EVERY question that will be asked. A good candidate MUST be able to flow between these, tie them back together, and show how they're all related.

I might have left a few off, but my guess is 95% of the questions come from some form of the above list.

No doubt one of the first few questions will be "will you accept the results of the election". This is Trump's Kryptonite. As much as we'd love to hear him respond with harvesting, broken election laws, broken water pipes at 3am, late ballots still not counted, and Soros appointed judges and DAs, it just doesn't help. A simple "yes" and move on would be amazing. We can litigate all the future irregularities later.

Wild that it's even a concern that a lawyer, former prosecutor and current VP with friendly moderators and given the questions in advance would have any trouble at all dismantling Trump.

For month and a half we heard about girl power. And also how Trump slipping and not as good as he once was.

But we here discussing how Kamala gonna survive mean ol Trump.

Look, everyone here knows I was a trial (civil) attorney before I retired and went into business instead.

Trial skills dull after not being used for a long period of time. When she was on the Senate Judiciary Committee, the questions she asked were written by lawyers on her staff, not her. The awkward follow-up questions (if any) showed that.

I am telling you, she does not think fast on her feet anymore, assuming she ever did. We all saw this year how a "veteran" prosecutor, Fani Willis just completely discombulated under questions from Ashleigh Merchant.

Kamala will probably hold it together long enough but it won't be a stellar performance.

Kamala comes out tanked like Denzel in the movie Flight.

Trump makes some audible remark about it smelling like a brewery on this stage.

Chaos erupts.

Debate ends early and is replaced with 45-minutes of pundits talking about how Trump's a classless a-hole.

That might be what the questions SHOULD be...

But, what about:

Jan 6

Trump calling Harris not black

His dictator tendencies

His civil court case of being a "rapist"

His felony case where he was "convicted"

Etc...

Don't think they'll play fair.

Not really gonna move the needle for most. Trump needs to avoid personal attacks regarding race and such. Stick to her failures in this administration.
The media will proclaim her the winner and say it was one of the single best debate performances of all time.

Question for Kamala:

For the average American out there, can you define unrealized gains, why you want to tax them, and how do you think that will affect investments?

Will never ever happen but one can dream.
