GOP picked the only candidate that could possibly lose to the dems.

And even then if Trump could have shown any discipline in his convention speech, picked a better VP, and stopped his stupid name calling tweets, he'd still probably be ahead.

Trump is losing by double digits in a swing state to a Marxist when all of the polls are saying that the electorate supports Republicans heavily on 6 of the top 7 issues (abortion being the only one they don't). Trump is the problem.

This is what all of the concerned moderates and never Trumpers and "I will just stay at home and not vote" morons just can't seem to get through their dense AF heads.

Trump is not the problem. He never has been.

Trump is the end result of decades of "oh golly gee shucks!" spineless republican leadership that trots out Bush and McCain and Romney and whomever else that is a damned jellyfish and who was absolutely terrified to say something mean back to the Dems in between their constant barrage of calling R's nazis and misogynists and warmongers and whatever else.

Trump is the end result of what happens when you have voters that are more concerned about how their neighbors and friends might percieve them if they find out they didn't vote for the black guy. Trump is the end result of what happens when you have people that claim they are "tired of how things are", then turn around and follow that statement up with a "buuuuuttttttttt......" and proceed to spend the next 10 minutes stammering and backpedaling making excuses for how things are. Trump is the end result of people that talk politics at the office around the coffee machine but then suddenly go into hushed whispers or silent mode when Karen The Libtard walks in because they are scared of offending her even though she has zero fears about saying whatever she wants or offending everybody else with her existence.

Trump is what happens when people finally get tired of the bland otameal politicians and hear somebody that isn't afraid to say what needs to be said, and say it unapologetically. And when somebody says "what did you say?!?!?", he says it again. Louder. More foreceful. Less apologetically then before.

You don't want Trump? Get politicians that aren't giant vaginas and that have the fortitude to take a stance and hold their ground even when the left tries to attack that stance. Get politcians that aren't afraid of upsetting a group of people that will never like them or be on their side no matter what. Get politicians that seem to actually put the country first and make no bones about stating to the world that we are Americans, and America is our priority.

You want to know what the problem is? Look in the fuggin mirror. The answer will be staring back at you.
Except he's only slightly wrong. The problem is not Trump, he's problematic, but not THE problem. The problem is us thinking that Trump is actually a good response to the left. If you want to tell anyone to look in the "fuggin mirror", your entire post details why we are "fugged". Instead of doing what fixes anything, we decide that we just need someone who is an a-hole back with no regard to what actually needs to be done.

All lookalike R's would actually lose to the Dems. They think the same way on all issues; 1) mass illegal immigration is great!, 2) who cares about trans groomers?!!!, 3) China is poor and they need our "free" trade to get into the US markets...we dont need those stinking US based industries anyhow (like cars, semi-conductors and AI), 4) Palestine and Ukraine need our money, our blood and our men, 5) the debt isn't big enough, 6) we need to pack the courts, 7) it's perfectly fine to steal elections and assassinate the President if he is Trump.

Stop. Desantis ran a poor campaign. If he can't win a Republican primary, how do you expect him to win the general election? It's over. Let it go.

Desantis is the most effective post Cold War political leader.

Desantis has completely destroyed the Democrats in Florida and turned them into a joke in a state that Obama won twice.

Florida is the most diverse state in the country and Desantis won it by 20 points.

Desantis has delivered on every major conservative policy position. From crime prevention to prosperous economic success.

Desantis is conservatives dreams come to life.

Name a conservative politician in the last 40 years with a better conservative political track record of delivering on the issues than Desantis.

Because it is too late as I said in my original post to run Desantis.

He doesn't have enough time to introduce himself to the country.

Sununu is guaranteed to win. Sununu wins in liberal New England as a 2A advocate. Sununu has the highest approval rating of any politician in modern political history because he is conservative on everything that matters to Republicans like 2A while being liberal on abortion.

Sununu is a guaranteed win with only 98 days left and we need a guaranteed winner that will appeal to moderates and independents in large numbers this late in the game.

It certainly feels like the Republicans were going in for the inevitable score and fumbled on the one yard line with Trump picking Vance and vegetable Biden being replaced by Harris along with Shapiro likely being selected as her running mate. Trump's RNC speech certainly didn't help his case. Before all of that happened, I would have disagreed with a post like this. However, if things stay the way they are right now for the Republicans, a Democrat victory seems inevitable.

Let's see.

He's always been pro-choice. He defaults to states rights as his official presidential position, but always says he's been pro choice in interviews.

2nd amendment: was ok with the bump stock ban. Is also on record as saying he is ok with increased background checks and other rules tightening gun ownership. That's a hard no for me.

Tariffs have always been a tool used primarily by the liberals, and he went to town with them in his term.

He continues to say that the best health care will be a type of single-payer system. Yeah…….good old socialized medicine. Another hard no for me.

You're right, he may actually be further to the left that I gave him credit for.

Well many probably are abstaining from voting…yet again. Lots of hangups about his close relationship with a guy named Jeffrey, and the way he used to publicly talk about young girls at his teen beauty pageants before he ran for office. Put the two together and it's not good optics for Trump, at least as far as being a "true follower" of Christ.

I am certain Harris isn't either, but that's for another day.
