I would also dispute your contention that Sununu has a better chance than President Trump. A large percentage of the middle/working class is a President Trump stronghold that Sununu probably would not capture.
You are correct that this maybe the just chance to maintain sanity in the USA and keep our country as a Constitutional Republic based on the rule of law.

OP, I'm ashamed of you. The time for independent thought was back 2 months before Iowa. Since the polls of hundreds... HUNDREDS of potential voters put Trump ahead then, we absolutely had to declare that one of the worst things to happen to actual conservatism is our best option and we have to rally around him.

You can go back to thinking outside of the binary simplethink briefly for a couple of weeks 6 months prior to the 2028 primaries before the next "inevitable" candidate is chosen for you by the media. But you'd better rally around them and never question it or you're a Marxist sympathizer.

The same people telling us we can't afford anything that might chance letting the dems win, are the ones who will tell us in the next breath they can't bring themselves to vote for Trump under any circumstance. My personal favorite of the OP was the part where he told us we had to get rid of Trump because he was too much of a moderate so we can replace him with…(checks notes)…another moderate. And the part about Sununu being the most popular politician in the country was pretty impressive fiction.

It's all about voter turnout. Changing minds is damn near impossible at this point.

Trump gets voter turnout. Sununu? He excites almost no one. A lot of people stay home.

Sununu is the perfect presidential candidate imo but it ain't happening til 2028.

I've been a New Hampshire resident for the past 5 years and he's one of the most logical, intelligent politicians I've seen. Has been a fantastic governor. Live free or die.
