Proof. I lived in the mountain west and trained alongside many of them. They compete in the Olympics because it's the pinnacle of their careers in most cases and most lose money doing it, unless they're playing soccer or basketball, track, gymnastics etc. And most do it with as much passion in wearing the USA jersey for their country and sport as much as our soldiers with American flag fatigues on do.
This is where F16 gets over the top annoying. I agree with the conservatism on the board politically, but so many of you let it bleed into every facet of your life and fall into the same mindless groupthink we accuse the Dems and libs of.
