This dude was actually in the last Olympics in Tokyo, and lost.

Hopefully he gets his ass kicked by a girl, again.

Here's a heartwarming anecdote from Imane's Wikipedia page.

In her early years, she had to take the bus to a neighboring village to attend training sessions, and sold scrap metal to afford the bus fare. Her father did not approve of boxing for girls.

Good thing he didn't have to deal with his father's disapproval.

Do you disagree? If there is any confusion or special condition that allows the hormone development of a male, i see no issues with allowing them to compete in men's sports.

Disagree with what?

Biological gender is based on hormone development and not a person's God-given sex organs?

I feel sorry for people like Caster Semenya who were thought to be female at birth, raised female, found themselves to be good at sport, and then found out at some point that they have an unfair genetic advantage.

That's materially different than someone like Lia Thomas, who knows damn good and well that she is a biologic male and wants to compete against girls because muh feelings. Or Communist countries in the 1950s sending straight up men to women's competitions.

None of them should be eligible to compete as women, imo, but the morality of these situations is not the same.

a lotta misinformation going around about this. It turns out Khelif is indeed a biological female. She just has abnormally high testosterone levels. It's illegal to be transgender in Algeria. So this was clearly more of a gender/hormonal test issue than anything.

Maybe the IOC is to blame for not ensuring a fair playing field, but this is not a case of a biological male competing against females and people shouldn't be talking like that is the case.

Link?

This is not consistent with previous reports (admittedly, all of those reports come from the Russian dominated international boxing organization, which has been banned by the IOC.)

This isn't a Lia Thomas situation, but that doesn't mean the athlete isn't a man.

Quote:

The situation has arisen because the world championships last year was run under the auspices of the International Boxing Association, whose president, Umar Kremlev, told the Russian news agency, Tass that DNA tests had "proved they had XY chromosomes and were thus excluded from the sports events".

The Intenatiinal Boxing Association, who forced him to take a dna test, says otherwise.

Definitely a lot of misinformation floating around. The leftist propaganda machine is in full blown panic over this one today.

I don't care what kind of plumbing one has. If you have a Y chromosome, you don't complete against people with only X chromosomes.

Simple differentiation:
an Open division and a Female divisions. Think of it as making weight. If you don't fit within the natural biological female category (both genetics and artificial testosterone / steroids) you get to booted to the "open" category of sport.

Sucks for intersex, but the whole purpose of women's sports is to give them an isolated/artificial competitive environment. If you don't hold a defined line, that isolated playing field collapses and you no longer have women's sports.

Biological sex is based on your DNA. How can you look at that video and be ok with a male (I understand the person is intersex, but look at how they are built) beating the **** out of a female? What is the issue with saying that if there is any sort of intersex condition going on, you compete with the men so that women are protected?

why do you guys care so much about women, you transphobic bigots? it's women's choice to compete in unfair sports they could not possibly ever have a chance of winning. you misogynist, male chauvinists don't need to white knight for women by caring so much about fairness for them. /the left

Being a man due to having XY chromosomes probably has something to do with those testosterone levels

just because you're mad that I'm commenting doesn't mean you're right. the fact is, Khelif was born female, is currently female, and has been female her whole life. She is not transgender. Like I said before, it's illegal to identify that way in Algeria.

It looks like she is intersex and I am admittedly ignorant on that topic. But she was disqualified from international sporting events in the past due to high testosterone levels. Clearly that's an unfair advantage and I'm surprised the same didn't happen here. It's obviously awful for Carini that she was put in that position.

From what I see it is a site called gaynet that is reporting the intersex.

"From the information we have about her, she is an intersex person, who has always socialized as a woman and has a sporting history in women's competitions."

Gonna want a more unbiased source than something called gaynet

Good question. I haven't seen any either, yet there's clips of athletes with their medals all over the place.

That's either on the IOC or Peacock, I'd imagine.

Which is what they did for the women's all around where we got gold and silver. Always makes me question why the flag for the silver winner isn't higher than the bronze.
