I can help you, I have a childhood friend who used to be conservative son of a preacher and now is one of those hyper progressive Christians. He would argue that these people have been hated by conservatives who call themselves "Christian" and they are just acting out in response to beinig oppressed and hated and bullied.

Vast majority of the Opening Ceremonies could have easily been confused for a pride parade. RIP Olympics. There was a bit of a respite where they paid homage to the French Revolution and Military, but even those were half assed pridish.
