I'm a guy who wasn't going to vote for Trump.

He's doing a great job on this speech.

He's only strayed occasionally and not that bad.

But, the fact that he's standing up here a few days after getting shot in the ear AND talking COHERENTLY for this long is just an amazing juxtaposition next to Biden.

Yeah, I don't think lowering interest rates and imposing tariffs on imports have ever resulted in lower inflation in any economy ever. Fortunately, this is just Trump rambling and saying things that sounds good. I'm sure the people that will be responsible for economic policy in the Trump Administration understand basic economics.

He really needed 90mins to prove that?

I think he's doing great and I'm not even all that optimistic he can do much of this. I'd much rather have someone who can just speak like a regular human instead of being a great script reader. The contrast between his energy and humor and Biden's is beyond measure.

Rush Limbaugh used to point out that when you have actual passion and confidence in what you believe you don't need to have notes. It's similar to the saying about it being easier to tell the truth than to lie because when you tell the truth you don't have to keep trying to remember what you said before. But my point is, despite his many flaws, I'd much rather have someone like him than any polished lifelong politician.

I still think it's gonna be a battle, there are just too few patriotic Americans remaining now to win decisively. The media just influences people too much to win many of the other side over.
