Made a change of my own. It would have been the prudent thing to do, but calling the snipers attention to a gunman intent on shooting Trump might have resulted in making the warning shots a "shoot first ask questions later" situation where they took out everybody in the vicinity with a gun. Doesn't matter whose job it was to secure that roof, it was the USSS's job to make sure somebody did it. Agreed. I was telling my wife last night, leaving that perch undefended only leaves you with two possible conclusions, both of which are equally troubling. Either the USSS leads protecting Trump are stunningly incompetent or they are compromised and deliberately left a prime sniper rest unsecured. There can be no other conclusion that matches the facts. It sounds like the perimeter that they defined was too small and the SS should have defined a larger perimeter in order to properly do their job.
This excuse would be totally laughable if two people weren't dead and two people weren't hospitalized as a direct result of their gross negligence.
This fiasco is just another example of the complete incompetence of the current administration. They fail the American public at literally every that they do.
