The answer to me is - "doesn't matter". Israel can defend itself how they see fit; and I have no special sympathy for Palestinians. Any USA conjecture on this war is a waste of time. Get back to me when Christians are clearly being systemically targeted for their beliefs.

I take it by your refusal to answer that you believe him hook, line, and sinker. Therefore, your credibility is zero on this topic. The OP claim doesn't pass the smell test at all. and yet you can't even recognize the obvious.

Since we both know you will avoid that question like the plague.. how about this: Is it POSSIBLE for a cardinal to lie or be wrong?
Obviously. Is it possible for an IDF soldier to shoot two women in a church for no reason?

The mother and daughter were walking to the Sister's Convent, the patriarchate said, when gunfire erupted. "One was killed as she tried to carry the other to safety," it added.
Seven others were also shot and wounded in the attack at the complex, where most Gaza's Christian families have taken refuge since the start of the war, according to the patriarchate, which oversees Catholic Churches across Cyprus, Jordan, Israel, Gaza and the West Bank.
"No warning was given, no notification was provided," the statement continued. "They were shot in cold blood inside the premises of the parish, where there are no belligerents."

Israel's response is that they are conducting an investigation. And THAT makes sense. If they came out instantly and flatly denied it, then that would sketchy. After all, how can they possibly know so quickly that no anti-Catholic Jew did it? The fact that these priests pretend to know instantly that a sniper bullet came from an Israeli is ridiculous, and calls into question everything they say. Hell, even if bullet itself was Israeli, that wouldn't prove anything. If Hamas recovered an Israeli rifle, then it is HIGHLY likely that they would use that rifle to do something EXACTLY LIKE THIS. They have shown willingness to do it to their OWN PEOPLE already. There is literally no reason for Israel to do this and every reason for Hamas to do it. In fact, if a rouge Israeli did do it, then we can be damn sure that Israel will convict the guy and throw him in jail.zoneag said:
Well, first off, I can't find any evidence of Pizzaballa being "anti-Israel", as you claim. He has made statements condemning the rise in anti-Christian incidents in Israel, so I guess you may be referring to that? Or something else? Seems to me his priority is where it should be, protecting his flock and praying for peace. I also doubt that an anti-Israel bishop would be offering himself up in exchange for Jewish hostages.
Furthermore, while I don't agree with everything Pope Francis says, particularly some of the things that are beyond Church teaching (climate change, etc), the Vatican is not likely to be issuing statements condemning the killing without evidence. Is there any evidence it was Hamas that killed the sisters? Because there aren't any reports I can find, even from Israeli sources pushing back against the Church claims.

"They were shot in cold blood inside the premises of the parish, where there are no belligerents."https://www.cnn.com/2023/12/16/middleeast/idf-sniper-gaza-church-deaths-intl-hnk/index.htmlQuote:
According to the patriarchate, Israel Defense Forces tanks also targeted the Convent of the Sisters of Mother Theresa, which houses 54 disabled people and is part of the church's compound. The building's generator, its only current source of electricity, as well as its fuel resources, solar panels and water tanks were also destroyed.
I'm in no way saying that Hamas are the good guys, and that Israel isn't justified in their attack, but the attitude that they can never be questioned is kind of a sickening response to stuff like this. Especially coming from Christians and fellow Catholics. Not much concern in this thread from y'all regarding our poor sisters in Christ who were attacked.
Now go ahead and call me an anti-semite for daring to question anything Israel does.
So a sniper shoots people. And everybody suddenly assumes the sniper is Israeli? Even though they have ZERO to gain and EVERYTHING to lose by doing so? Even though Hamas has ALREADY shot and blown up it's own citizens in attempt to score propaganda points? What makes you think that Hamas would bat an eye at shooting Catholics to achieve their goals?
How did the priest, who is already anti-Israel supposedly know this? Did the Israeli sniper stand up, show himself, wave, and say "Shalom!" after? Give me a break. You guys aren't thinking clearly.
Wanna know how I know didn't read the statement by the Patriarchate?
I didn't doubt that the Catholic Church cares for the poor and disabled. I doubt the BS story being spouted by these clowns.RebelE Infantry said:Oh ya, a Catholic Church caring for the poor and disabled. Now there's a novel and far fetched idea.aTmAg said:I read it. Do you know how any of this works?RebelE Infantry said:Good grief. IDF units operating in Gaza aren't exactly sneaking around and being subtle about it. Your credibility is germane to this thread. Which is why I'm asking.
I take it by your refusal to answer that you believe him hook, line, and sinker. Therefore, your credibility is zero on this topic. The OP claim doesn't pass the smell test at all. and yet you can't even recognize the obvious.
Again, my credibility has nothing to do with the topic at hand. For some reason you've decided to make this thread about Jewish excellence, the secret double life of Hamas spy Cdl Pizzaballa, and my credibility.
Out-maneuvered?
"You have no credibility"
-my credibility isn't germane here
"See he admitted it"
Since we both know you will avoid that question like the plague.. how about this: Is it POSSIBLE for a cardinal to lie or be wrong?
Obviously. Is it possible for an IDF soldier to shoot two women in a church for no reason?Quote:
