Because you're a Democrat and

1) you'll never admit any Rep candidate is any good, and

2) and its clear your party is putting up either Biden, Newsom, Harris, or Whitmer. All horrible candidates who can't muster 100 IQ points between the four of then.

I think you're confusing Rockdoc with Rocag.

Similar names, but very different posting histories.

So after last night how many more people from California move to Florida?

If they were smart, a lot of them.

Californians should be thoroughly embarrassed after that debate. Not only did Newsome utterly fail at defending his policies, but the depth of those failures was put on display for the nation to see. California was exposed as the poster child for what happens when leftists are given free reign and get to implement failed socialistic policies.

Sadly, most Californians are either too bought in to admit it or too ignorant to understand it.

So many Trump supporters insist we have to make him our candidate in order to show the Dems that we won't accept the political prosecution of him. The singleminded, superficial logic of that argument kills me. That truly is playing checkers while the Dems play chess.

Smart voter: Look at his record, and what he's already accomplished. He's a proven commodity.

Idiot: "yeah, but do you hear what this other person said?'

it's absolute ignorance

Words and promises dont matter. Action and merit matter. But that very basic idea is way too complicated for a large portion of our voting base.

It's why not everyone should be able to vote. Those who only take, shouldn't get to determine policy makers for those to contribute. Everyone should have skin in the game, if they're going to participate. Our founding fathers knew this.

I termed 2016 as the election giving a choice of the evils of two lessers, as I hated Hillary but wasn't too keen on Trump either.

2024 is still a crap shoot as to who the nominees will be, in my mind. Can't see Biden making it for another year without deteriorating to the point he can't be in public anymore. Even with his taking so many vacations, his schedule as POTUS is just too much for his physical condition.

If I am correct, do the Dems roll with Kamala?

Kamala? They might as well nominate David Letterman.
Reason I asked about them rolling with Kamala if Biden gets too disabled.

After last night, Newsom may not be viable for a general election. Too smarmy and lies too much. Not that much improvement over Biden on that score.

Further, ditching Kamala would piss off the black and some white Dem vote were Newsom to replace her at the top of the ticket.

Ronald Reagan to a potential voter in 1980 - "I can't do a damn thing if I don't win the election."

We would be far better off to nominate a candidate that can actually win the general election and has proven he can tackle tough jobs, implement plans, and solve problems. I have no doubt Ron would make it his mission to root out all the election shenanigans the Democrats have been pulling. He's proven what he can do by what he's done in Florida. It seems unbelievable to me that we wouldn't choose to give a candidate like that a shot on the national stage.

To borrow a line from Trump - what have we got to lose?

Dems definitely have a Kamala problem. Or do they? It won't hurt anyone's feeling if she got dumped. It would definitely result in what can be unburdened by what has been.

Then greasy Newsom will slide right in to allow Biden to pull out.

That's how Newsom will become your next president.

Evidently so

He's currently the active governor of Florida, where he has decimated the Dems, even winning previously unwinnable areas.

And, if a liberal dip**** like Trump can win, a successful conservative can, too.

He's far and away the best, electable, conservative we've had in a generation.

For me the answer is an enthusiastic yes. I don't know what more he could do to prove it without actually sitting in the Oval Office. I believe DeSantis is uniquely qualified to go to Washington and dismantle the Democrat machine, including their voting racket. I'm not saying it will be easy, but if anyone can do it, Ron DeSantis can and has earned a shot with his solid leadership and his successes in Florida.

If Trump wants exoneration, DeSantis is his best bet. DJT will never get the benefit of the doubt and will have an impossible task to staff a competent administration or work with most Republicans in the House and Senate. He's burned way too many bridges. Better to let an outsider to the DC game go in and do the job and prove to the country how badly the Democrats have kneecapped our election process and then make the needed reforms. Without it, this country is lost.

He's not even polling well in his own state at the moment. Electability has been a burning issue the last several cycles. McCain, Romney and even going back to W. Was he ready yet was the concern.

Hope he gets a big bounce from last night but I'll believe it when I see it.

Can't decide what's more pathetic - that he thought that video was appropriate for someone running for president, or that he thought it was funny.

The question you should ask yourself hawg is why has there not been a decent poll out of Iowa released to the public since Oct 30? You hear the National polls all the time and some of these obscure state polls for areas that won't even be polled until deep in the cycle and no one is campaigning in or spending time in so Name ID is king.

Don't let yourself be manipulated. Maybe Trump is going to win in Iowa big but maybe not. If not this is a completely different race. Just keep that open mind.

This is awful. I don't hate Trump like some here, but this is not dignified or worthy of the office or the process.

If he does win the nomination he needs all Republicans to vote for him. Crap like this doesn't help his cause at all.

He needs to grow up and remember Reagan's 11th commmandment - Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.

My mind is open, which is why I am keeping close tabs on DeSantis and followed all of the Disney stuff to see if it would help or hurt him. Iger has essentially raised a white flag now, so DeSantis won that one.
