If NBC or one of the other networks was moderating this, Newsom would be front page news tomorrow. I'm voting for DeSantis, but he doesn't debate (or present) well. I know that's a low bar when we're talking about Trump but here we are.

I really can't believe that Newsom would agree to do this. All he needs to do is keep his name out there and wait for the DNC to move on from Biden. Then he can do what Biden did in 2020 and just stay home knowing that our divided country just presses R or D regardless of the name beside it.

It seems like Newsom just came with a preprepared set of "facts" that are either flat out lies or stretches of the truth and planned on constantly repeating them in the hopes no one would research it. This is pretty brutal.

He stays around the topic but not on topic. He pulls the topic by spouting out vaguely relevant facts that will confuse the average person, particularly with them talking over one another.

Consider the average lib you may come across. There is not need to hope, its proven everyday.

As much as I want to see him in the general, DeSantis is done. He is awful in this environment and unfortunately that's a big part of the process.
