It's a tough balance because DeSantis can come straight at Trump but fundamentally the people he needs will always like Trump. So he needs them to just hit a point that it is time to move on and have fond memories of Trump dancing to YMCA but know that DeSantis is the future. Remember back in the early summer DeSantis was taking out big chunks of support from Trumps then the left launched all this litigation in NY and GA against Trump. And many people on the right rallied in support to Trump. It was an understandable emotional response but there is nothing rational about it.
Its exactly what the left wanted. They know Biden is trash and the only person that is more hated is Trump. They know any other Republican candidate would be much more difficult to defeat in a General.
Yes they hate Trump with a passion but they hate conservatism even more. To the left its about probabilities, contingencies, and the lessor of evils if things go wrong from their perspective.
That why we need to hit hard to break this emotional bond to Trump. People need to think with their brains on this one. The stakes are just to high. If people start really thinking things through it could change. That or DeSantis needs to radically change his strategy and go straight at Trump-- Illustrating how Trump gets you nothing but 4 more years of democRat rule.
Yes the Polls show Trump beating Biden narrowly. Will that be the case after the left turns the full power of Big Tech, the MSM, and courts on Trump. And the cheat machine is still there.
This is simple DeSantis is a proven conservative with a solid resume with far far less head wind than Trump that has a much better chance of winning the general.
Vivek is a wildcard because it is clear now this is likely his last debate, he's fading badly. Still he's a very good communicator and he knows how to land some blows. The fact is unless we take of the world supply of Copper, Lithium, Manganese, Nickel and many others, there is zero chance for a fully EV society or state by any short or mid-term metric. We would likely have to take over Russia / Ukraine and many other countries for this to ever happen. Why do you think GM and Ford basically shutdown their EV push.
