So for the record, you disagree with DeSantis's position on this? DeSantis is wrong on this?
Ugh.
DeSantis was right. McCarthy was always a terrible choice. He was also right that this is a stunt by Gaetz. None of this has a real plan. We don't know who will replace him. We don't have any real way to know how this is going to address any of the actual issues. We have a very real chance the Dems may just steal the Speakers office. DeSantis laid out a specific list of what we should be focused on and did so in a calm and professional way.
I think we all want real change but simply setting fire to the building and then trying to figure it out later is extremely dangerous. I want real change and progress on policy and I don't see any plan from that out of Gaetz, we have to govern and get things done or else we will lose.
I also think Trump's fence straddling crap only reinforces what a weak leader he is. He has no plan and he's literally out there not commenting on issues or policy or whether or not McCarthy was the right guy or who should replace him. No, his main concern is that we all know he thinks McCarthy is a nice guy who said some nice things about him because that's what matters most.
Minus the DTS paragraph, going to agree with this post.
Gaetz is spit balling.
But, one thing is clear: there can be little debate that, among other things, the President's pressure exerted on Vice President Pence to violate his oath, and the false hope it sent to emotionally charged supporters, was wrong, troubling, and impeachable.
