I don't think it should be outlawed, but should only be allowed by law abiding citizens.

There should be a registry where people register who want access to the sites. This will help keep children and known sexual predators off these sites.

This Libertarian mindset is exactly the reason this country has devolved in state of ruin. Pornography is destructive and has no place in society. The current alcohol culture is the same and I wouldn't mind if it was banned until we got a handle on that too. I would also support restricting the speech of all Marxists and Communists, but the preferable plan would be to send them elsewhere.

People need to read the laws before they spout stupid opinions. I read an article yesterday about Senate Bill 12, the one that allegedly stops drag queens from reading library books to kids. Of course that bill got so narrowed down you would never make that connection from reading it. One of the reader comments was that the bill would make it a crime to present Shakespeare to kids because in days of yore all actors were male and female characters had to be men in drag.

It's not about protecting you from it. It's about protecting society writ large from it. Believe it or not, government has an interest in forming a functional society. One individual doing cocaine or indulging in porn doesn't matter. A society of people engaging in that activity causes tons of problems.

A self governing society has every right to stop people from doing things that are harmful to themselves and society writ large.

Interesting, becuase I agree with you and I am liberal. I do not want my daughters thinking porn (or their partners) thinking porn is what a sex is supposed to be like. Minors shouldn't have access, just like they shouldn't have access to alcohol, drugs, gambling etc. I think very few people liberal or not disagree with the premise. The question is always lies in the execution and the law of unintended consequences
