That is so confused I wonder if you're trolling or just mainlining Gateway Pundit and Redstate. Every classified document he was charged with was disclosed. He'll even get to look at them with babysitters watching.

They're not setting up a SCIF at a residence for a case about keeping documents at said residence

And yes they have. George HW Bush had millions and millions at his residence in College Station.

The claim wasn't that they were at his residence. The claim was they were at a former bowling alley.

They were. But the rest of the story was the former bowling alley was a NARA owned facility and the documents had been transferred there by NARA to be processed and stored while the nearby NARA operated Presidential library was completed, which was to become the permanent home of the documents.

They do not have to give him a SCIF at his residence for legal defense work, that would be quite stupid.

NARA has never set up SCIFs for classified documents or let former presidents keep them.
The government HAS to set up a SCIF for him to view material for this case since some of that material is PART OF the case.

Why do you think NARA would have something to do with this, though?

fka is pointing out that the government ALREADY had a SCIF at MAL when he was POTUS, so they could have just reactivated that one.

Its not a claim. There are literally millions of classified documents STILL at his CS residence (former residence since he gone).

If you take your orange man bad blinders off and set the cracker jack/jill legal analysis aside, you understand the absurdity of what they did to Trump v how presidential records have been treated for other fPOTUS's not named Trump.

Correct. Old ThistlePiggy does not like facts and thinks I "mainline" Gateway Pundit and Redstate, even though I only vaguely know of those 'sites' and have never quoted from, read from, linked to or pointed to in 10,000+ Trump lovin posts.

Can you provide a source with someone making such a claim? And additionally, a source verifying the claim?

Presidential Libraries Classified Papers and Records
Presidential papers and records are among the highest-level foreign policy documents in the federal government and are of great historical value.

Presidential Libraries hold in excess of:
30 million pages of textual classified materials
1,000 rolls of classified microfilm from the Franklin D. Roosevelt through George W. Bush Presidential administrations
3 terabytes of classified electronic records

The Presidential Libraries also hold the papers of Presidential staff such as those of the National Security Advisor and others on the National Security Council staff.

The Presidential Materials Division in Washington, D.C. holds the records for Vice Presidents Gore and Cheney and the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.

Declassifying these documents and making them publicly available is an important function of the Presidential Libraries and Materials staffs.

You have an Ag tag and did not know the Bush '41 Library contains the archives from his presidency and that includes many, many classified documents?

And that the had a personal residence they maintained for when they stayed in College Station?

It was on NARA to ensure Trump records were sent to a secure, NARA approved facility. That onus was NOT on Trump, but the Biden admin.

Hate to burst yours and the groundhog's bubble, but facts are hard for people to accept sometime.

The Trump documents case is a complete non-starter.

I do understand you do not like facts, truth and law that shows Trump did nothing wrong (again), but that's the danger of always thinking they are getting Trump this time.

Fact: All fPOTUS's have personal and presidential records that may contain classified documents.

Fact: During transition, NARA is supposed to take care of those documents coordinating with both the outgoing and incoming administration.

Fact: Due to the perpetual animosity against Trump, Biden thought it would be cute to ship it all to M-A-L and NOT have NARA provide for proper storage and a proper facility for the review, storage and eventual disposition of documents as personal v presidential and where they will be stored.

Fact: fPOTUS is the principal decision maker in determining personal v presidential under the PRA.

Fact: fPOTUS has exclusive right to those documents immediately following the presidency and the PRA is intended to ensure fPOTUS records are maintained for future public review. It was not implemented to take away an fPOTUS access to all information from his presidency as if he was a fired assistant analyst trying to get access to all his files to send to the Russians.

Fact: WH counsel, complicit with Biden DOJ, concocted a plan to use the confusion of sending the information to M-A-L with documents co-mingled, removing the SCIF designation of M-A-L, start harassing Trump to give everything back, using that to frame Trump by weaponizing a civil code to try to entrap a fPOTUS and those around him in a obstruction charge by concocting made up classified docs charge under a 150yo law used to prosecute spies.

Fact: To add legitimacy, DOJ conducts raid of fPOTUS residence whilst he was away and limited his lawyers from any formal protest.

Fact: From that point forward DOJ has coordinated with MSM to selectively release information to paint a picture to the public that fPOTUS is a criminal, loose cannon, and unfit for ever leading this Country again.

Fact: They chose an incredibly biased "special persecutor" who is also expendable as the dude has been slapped down twice for his legal persecution efforts.

Fact: Said person files a laughable indictment that includes Trump allegedly showing off war plans to a reporter.

Fact: Indictment attempts to ensnare low-level assistants in effort to get them to flip and provide made up evidence to "get Trump".

Fact: Biden admin forgot to remove Trump's security clearance after the documents had been removed and all the information was out to the public to paint the narrative Trump is a reckless, loose cannon, traitor who was selling info to Russians (again).

Fact: I am tired of going over and over this again and again and you ignoring all these facts and trying to quote "law" as scripture when you SHOULD understand our laws are subject to interpretation, manipulation, *******ization, bias and misuse, particularly by the left.

You can try and be snarky and make funny of me with a terrible meme, when in fact you know all the above is true and leaves you with plate of red herrings and no lemmings to feed them to.

Right now, watch Jan 9th. Bench trial in federal court ND of GA. Watch for that one. (Not literally, since not streamed from federal court.)

Dominion expected to be hammered, again. This judge has never liked their voting system in the slightest. BUT she also takes the position that the state legislature needs to address this, not the courts. (Essentially a correct but unfortunate position.)

Unless she gets comfortable real fast with reversing all of her prior rulings in this long-standing case, Dominion and Raffensperger won't fare well, given their earlier perjury in front of her court.

Trump's attorneys want Cannon to let them see the material and, basically, argue over what the jury should ultimately see. Cannon has said up to this point she would decide that request later after meeting with the government.

If she allows that, I think most believe there is a significant chance the government files an appeal.

Not looking likely right now, in my view. Caveat: Smith or Willis could severely truncate their indictments and have separate trials for other defendants. That was always Willis' biggest mistake, too many defendants and too many counts. Too massive of a trial to even fit everybody in the damn courtroom. Lunacy.

Special counsel Jack Smith's team has questioned several witnesses about a closet and a so-called "hidden room" inside former President Donald Trump's residence at Mar-a-Lago that the FBI didn't check while searching the estate in August 2022, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News.

As described to ABC News, the line of questioning in several interviews ahead of Trump's indictment last year on classified document charges suggests that -- long after the FBI seized dozens of boxes and more than 100 documents marked classified from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate -- Smith's team was trying to determine if there might still be more classified documents there.
More leaks from Team Smith.
