Tuesday's Texas A&M-McNeese State game canceled due to weather

There will be no baseball in Aggieland on Tuesday night.

Weather in Bryan-College Station has forced the cancellation of the Feb. 18 matchup between the top-ranked Texas A&M Aggies and the visiting McNeese State Cowboys. Originally set for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch at Blue Bell Park, the ballgame has not been rescheduled.

Forecasts in Aggieland call for rain throughout the afternoon and evening, with thunderstorms expected to begin around 5 p.m. CT.

The following is a press release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Due to inclement weather, the Texas A&M baseball team's midweek contest against McNeese has been canceled, and a future reschedule date is to be determined.

12th Man Foundation Rain Out Policy
If you purchased a single game ticket from the 12th Man Foundation and that game is canceled and not rescheduled, the original ticket may be exchanged for a ticket to a future regular season baseball home game, subject to availability. Seat contributions will be added to single game ticket purchases when applicable. If a game is canceled with no regular season home games remaining in that season, a refund will be issued for single game purchasers, which includes the single game seat contribution. Refunds will be issued to the credit card on file or a check will be mailed to the address on file. There are no refunds for season ticket holders. Exchanges can be made at the box office or by phone. Tickets purchased via the secondary market cannot be exchanged through the 12th Man Foundation (with the exception of ADA needs) or refunded. Only tickets purchased directly from the 12th Man Foundation are eligible for an exchange consideration.

The Aggies return to action Friday night at 6 p.m. as they open a three-game set with Cal Poly at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

For Michael Earley and the A&M coaching staff, losing an early-season contest means losing an opportunity to sort through bullpen options and get at-bats for a talented roster.

The Aggies (3-0) are fresh off an Opening Weekend sweep of Elon at Blue Bell Park. Only 10 different position players earned a start vs. the Phoenix, while three others appeared off the bench on Sunday. Beyond starting pitchers Ryan Prager, Justin Lamkin and Myles Patton, nine relievers saw action with mixed results.

A&M’s next opportunity to sift through options comes this weekend vs. Cal Poly.

The Aggies begin a three-game series with the Mustangs on Friday, Feb. 21, at 6 p.m. CT.
