How Not To Be President - Ann Coulter—brilliant article https://t.co/fl1FEHn7zD

He's struggling to raise money now and he was already way behind. Big donors are flipping to DeSantis or staying on the sidelines and he can only tap the small donors for so much. He sure as hell isn't going to self finance, hell he is using campaign money to pay his legal fees.CREAg87 said:
You think at some point he will struggle to raise $$$ simply chilling MAL rather than actively campaigning and doing what it takes to win
Yep, the real story is how little he raised from his announcement and then indictment. The cash just isn't coming in unless it is coming in quiet and I can't imagine that's the case since Trump folks on Twitter would be bragging about any news like that. We will see, I really don't think so.TRM said:
Q1 was going to be a disaster for him if not for the indictment.
Since @MichaelRCaputo & his family were targeted in the Russia collusion hoax, he understands the true cost of these smear campaigns. He is Trump2024, a Trump loyalist since before the anonymous trolls on here were even born, but doesn’t stoop to DNC smear tactics to go after… https://t.co/jdkeXwjirV

That's why he wants the primary over as fast as possible, he is hoping if he is the only choice he will be able to raise money again. The next reporting period is going to be very interesting to watch and if it is half as bad as I think it could be it will be a disaster for him.

When the DC Swamp rammed a massive spending bill through Congress that didn't fund Trump's border wall, @RonDeSantis stood strong and voted against it.

Trump said he'd veto the bill — but then he caved to the Swamp and signed it.

As much as we've joked that Trump is playing 4D chess, the reality we're seeing from Trump is he is just a narcissist doing narcissistic things. We've all been hoping it was all a big chess game, but it isn't. Trump's power of personality is what he is relying on, and it has worked in certain situations where a strong personality does well. It's early, but what I am seeing from DS actually seems more like chess. He is putting parts in place that are strategic and not moving without having had a plan ready. Whether he will be successful at it or not has yet to be determined. Strategy is only great if it works, and there's a long road ahead, but I much prefer that to the constant stream of " *wince* WTF?" that happens in my head when I hear something coming from Trump.
This is pretty much how I am feeling now. Never thought I'd end up disliking Trump how I do now- he was always flawed, but the bitter behavior now just stinks.Phatbob said:
What I don't think Team Trump is realizing is that they are burning a lot bridges here. Yes, I prefer Desantis, but the more I hear from Trump, the more I dislike him. I am not a never-Trumper... but in the last couple of months, based on his behavior, the thought has crossed my mind. I'm absolutely a pragmatist, and I would never vote for a Dem ticket, but if he continues this, I am not seeing much different in his behavior and your run of the mill Dem presidential candidate. I'm more willing to hold my nose and pull the lever than most, I think, and if I'm feeling the pull of not voting for the Republican nominee (if it is Trump), then there will be a LOT of others who just won't do it.
Let's try not to glamourize the Desantis' military history. He was a legal advisor, period. Not to mention that he's never had a real job, always a public servant...since that point is brought up a lot about political figures never having real jobs.LMCane said:aggie93 said:Doubling downaggie93 said:

LMAO
only a draft dodger and his cronies who also never served
would have the chutzpah to attack a VETERAN who served alongside the SEALS in Iraq.
but Trump is so patriotic he disparages McCain and DeSantis for them serving in the Navy-while he was playing with his daddy's money in Manhattan.
He taught highschool history and coached the baseball team for a year in between undergrade and law school. Plus, to say that military service is not a "real job" is preposterous.Opalka said:Let's try not to glamourize the Desantis' military history. He was a legal advisor, period. Same, it's crazy...just a few years ago I was giddy to wait in line to vote for him. Now I absolutely cannot stand him. I don't know if I will vote for him at all. Disclaimer: I am in TX and if my vote for Trump over a Dem matters, he doesn't stand a chance any way.CREAg87 said:This is pretty much how I am feeling now.
