If you only look through the lens of Forum 16, you would be right, but this isn't a real sampling of how it is in reality across the country . Trump support is just as high as it was in 2020 as it is now , has he lost some supporters? yes but not enough to make a dent.
I'm sure you do. I know plenty as well, but those are anecdotal instances they don't amount to anything in the grand scheme of things.
I also do not love Trump because how he alienates people and the dumbarse remarks on social media and at his rallies.Bonfire1996 said:

I don't love how he alienates people who can help implement a conservative agenda. That alienation has reached a point where Trump has two roadblocks.
1. He cannot get elected by just his base
2. He cannot build a team to effectively take on the entrenched establishment.
To me, this is obvious. It places a definitive ceiling on his ability to win and work. I say this as a man eternally grateful for Trump and the MAGA movement.
DeSantis has no such ceiling.
I'm sure the independents and CM who didn't vote for him in 2020 are all going to be super pumped to vote for him when he has 3-4 indictments pending.Retired FBI Agent said:LegalDrugPusher said:Nitro Power said:Strongly disagree. The indictments don't even matter. Does anyone think he's flipped a vote since the last time he lost? Conversely, does anyone think he hasn't lost votes since then? He's a worse candidate than he was the last time he lost. His only chance of winning is having a terrible opponent (much like 2016). But even then, we're talking about an opponent so bad that any alternative could win… And in that case, there are better options than Trump.GeorgiAg said:I'm sure the independents and CM who didn't vote for him in 2020 are all going to be super pumped to vote for him when he has 3-4 indictments pending.Retired FBI Agent said:LegalDrugPusher said:Nitro Power said:Strongly disagree. Reality is Trump is the frontrunner for the R nominee as of today. So rationale thought would indicate Trump could very well be the R nominee against Biden or other undetermined at this point D.Nitro Power said:

Very true. However, the list of people who will not vote for him as a known quantity, no matter what, is going from about 50 million in 2016 to, conservatively, 100 million in 2024. That's a major electability problem.Quote:

I'll vote trump if he's the nominee, but I'll be preparing, financially, for the coattails of Trump to deliver a 59-62 seat majority in the Senate for Democrats and a 20 seat majority for the Dems in the House.
No, the Dems already have a 51-49 majority now. They add between 8-12 with Trump as GOP nomineefka ftc said:You adding 21 Senate seats? Or 20 seats and a D as VP?Bonfire1996 said:Very true. Now, lets look at DeSantis. Barely won FL in 2018 (Won by like 0.3% I believe) and within four years turned the state into a R+20. Now, what does that say about DeSantis and his ability to lead and gain the CM and moderate democrat vote? The votes NEEDED to win in 2024.

He got 74 million votes, the next closest Republican candidate was 62 million in Bush 2004. Mitt Romney got 61 million.
So Republicans were basically topped out in the lower 60 millions range. WITH THE CONCERNED MODERATE VOTE, net loss my ass
Trump got 63 million in 2016 and 74 million in 2020.
Your net loss is complete BS, expense of moderate/blue collar Dem is BS
How many votes does this concerned moderate vote total with 74 million in the tally? My guess is not very damn much
As I have said before, Trump is Maverick and DeSantis is Iceman. Trump is out buzzing the tower and looking to find ways to bend the rules. He's a hell of a lot of fun but reckless and it ultimately will cost him. DeSantis is not as sexy but he's rock solid and just doesn't make anything but minor mistakes. He is playing the long game of racking up wins and building support while waiting for Trump to implode.Tramp96 said:fka ftc said:But not tired of it to just ignore it and focus on the opposition trying to ruin the Country. Huh? I'm not picking up what you are laying down.
We are RESPONDING to his comments. And they are tiresome. Very tiresome. Are we not allowed to respond to his comments? What he's doing is divisive and not productive. There is zero reason for him to be lashing out at DeSantis right now. Zero. Zip. But he's doing it anyway.
What is this accomplishing? Nothing constructive. The only thing he's accomplishing is sowing the seeds of division amongst the conservatives/Republicans.
How does that do any good?
