NATO membership ends this war and brings lasting peace to that country
Nonsense!

So, Russia is just going to back away and leave what they have taken and hold because Whang, the US decided to bring Ukraine into NATO, in back room manuever by a lame duck admin?! Yea, sure, OK. Uh Huh.

Geez!!

Russia won't attack a NATO country because they would immediately be wiped out. The only way forward for anyone who actually claims to want peace is for what's left of Ukraine to join NATO.
Russia has said this is a Red line multiple times.

The repeated threats to put NATO in Ukraine and revoke Russia's access to Ukrainian ports was one of the main instigators of this in the first place.

So I am sure that following through on those threats will deescalate the situation.
It is NOT putting NATO in Ukraine.

It IS putting Ukraine in NATO.

NATO is a DEFENSIVE alliance.

Amazingly, it was formed to prevent RUSSIA from invading its members. Which Russia did to lots of countries that quickly joined after the USSR collapsed.

Ukraine wants to get into it now to prevent Russia from continuing to invade them.

I think there might be some evidence that Russia wants to invade Ukraine.

Really, the hubris from a few of you is off the charts.

You really believe Russia is just third world hack country, yet there was this massive narrative that if we did not stop Russia in Ukraine they would go on to Poland! Talking about schizophrenics!?!

I have been told that no body considers Russia a pier but me and then provide proof from the Air & Space Force that Russia is not only considered a pier but may actually be ahead of us in electronic/cyper warfare.

This simple idea that Russia will be wiped out with absolutely no damage to us is freaking INSANE. Truly
Sigh.

It's PEER.

And NOBODY has said the bolded. That's a strawman.

Continuously moving NATO east against the handshake agreement was the other big part of the red line.

U want escalation move NATO and the potential to put missiles on Russia's doorstep into Ukraine.

Keep voting for and rooting for WW3 policies.

I am sure Russia will just allow this and not respond at all because they are so willing to to just roll over and take it.

Russia doesn't get to "allow" an independent country to do anything. If Ukraine wants to join NATO to help prevent Russia from attacking them again and NATO is willing to accept them then that's what will happen.

Russia is fighting and clawing for miles of land against a country 1/3 of their size fighting with our hand me down weapons. Count me in the group who does not think they are dumb/crazy enough to start a fight with NATO. Which is all the more reason why the only pathway for peace is for the lines to be drawn where they are now and what's left of Ukraine to join NATO. Russia doesn't want that because they still want to be able to invade again.
Yep.

There was no "handshake agreement".

NATO didn't "move east". Countries that had been invaded and subjugated by Russia joined NATO to stop Russia from doing it again.

NATO didn't move east. NATO was invited east because Russia is a terrible neighbor.

As I've maintained for a long while, team Biden Nuland has ensured there will be no future for 'Ukraine' which is now doomed, and it's just a matter of "when," not if.

Another reality:

Mariupol is a case study in a people recovering after being subjected to the Kiev regime's terrorism for years (it was also the homeland of the Azov nazi's):

Old:

Forever war, comrades.

It would be silly and foolish for the Russians to attack Poland. The US 5th Corps HQs and the JTF Commander stationed in Poland have contingency plans should the Russians take this tack.

It's interesting how the narrative has changed from Ukraine does not need NATO boots on the ground to defeat the hapless, backward Ruskies, to now let's just bring them into NATO and all things will end.

As I have said from day one, Russia will win this deep state proxy war, UNLESS NATO COMMITS BOOTS TO THE GROUND. Again, not with my kids!

NATO wouldn't be fighting Russia. Russia would back TF down if the rest of Ukraine joined NATO. Putin doesn't want to fight NATO. He wants to fight a weaker Ukraine that doesn't have the protection of NATO.

He's a bully, not an idiot.

Ukraine in NATO ends this. Without fighting.

The irrational stuff is the group that says 'Russia is gaining tiny bits of land and 'can't mount an offensive'' while simultaneously claiming Russia is going to invade Poland and is a real threat to Central Europe etc. Or the German politicians awarding a high award to Biden, who ordered the destruction of Nordstream and is consequently responsible for the enormous negative impacts on their economy over the past 2 years.

It would be funny if there weren't so many conscripts being killed daily in this absurdity.

Now, I do think there is some question as to how things will go when the Russians reach the non-Russian parts of 'Ukraine' but I don't think it will be that dramatic given the depopulation and general exhaustion of the UFA etc.

Russia is hundreds of miles from Kiev and has lost hundreds of thousands of lives to gain 20 miles in one tiny area of the front. All while losing a large amount of their own country.

Russia has gained more than it has lost. You need to revisit the maps and refresh your calculations.
I'm not sure if people genuinely believe someone is going to say, "Wow, if some people say I'm a moron for not believing this, it clearly must be true."

It's not much a persuasive argument. It really just sounds like a bunch of miniature dachshunds barking because the first one one barked when it thought it heard something.

So Russia has barely gained more than Ukraine in a year of fighting? Hundreds of thousands of lives lost for just a small edge in land? After Russia was supposed to take a decisive edge this year?

How does that get them almost 400 miles to Kiev?

For reference, this is the zoomed in area of the BBC maps to that shows (in dark red) what Russian milbloggers tout as the massive Russian advances. It's tiny specks. Barely there. Nothing.

This is what Russia has spent a year doing with so many lives lost they now have to import North Koreans just for backup.

A) No one can see your pic
B) We have not been wrong. You even admit Russia wants to take over all of Ukraine. WHICH IS WHAT WE SAID THIS WAS ABOUT.
C) Russia invaded Ukraine because Putin wanted Ukraine to be part of Russia. The "Ukraine joining NATO talk" propaganda is designed for weak minded people who want to excuse Putin for doing it.
D) No American kids are going to fight Russia over Ukraine. No matter how many times you repeat your trope. ESPECIALLY if Ukraine joins NATO.

Your map is 7 months old, so I guess I'll just say it again. You need to update your map and redo your calculations.

I'm not saying Russia is knocking on the doors of Kiev, but you're just parroting old data and refusing to acknowledge the atrophy of Ukrainian territory and it's getting tiresome.
