Guys, the A50 was so bad that Russia wasn't even using it! Oh, wait, they were? Must have been useful in some way then...

Give it a day or two and the Slimplicious's of the world will be saying that Russia purposely put the A50 in position to be destroyed so Ukraine would waste ADA ordinance, reveal their locations, and relieve the russians of old equipment because they have 200 models of the newer air frames coming every month.

This is a relatively weak refutation of his point.

There's never been a better example of a strawman. If you can't refute Nortex, why respond at all?

Ok, so I will also ask you, in what ways do you think an A-50 was effectively employed over the past 12 months? Why have the Russians ever only built 10 for themselves?

Russians are just 'stupid' and have terrible technology, which they dumbly throw at the battlefield, is all I have read elsewhere. Why would this one, older A-50, developed in 1978, be a significant impact, from the pro-war perspective?

Everything about this is propaganda, imho, and this was most likely a 'friendly fire' mistake all the way around from the Russians. It makes very little sense the Ukrainians would pull forward a Patriot battery that far.

It makes little sense to pull a patriot that far forward? Unless of course they wanted to shoot down that plane. You know, like they've done repeatedly.

But hey maybe it didn't get shot down. Or uh.. it's not useful anyway even though they were… using it. Or hey, it was just friendly fire, and that's better for some reason. That's the ticket!

Ukraine got smaller again, today. FYI. But as usual you as well won't cite any discussion as to the efficacy/effectiveness of the platform supposedly lost. No worries, you all just have believed in that 70's Soviet tech this whole time, without ever saying anything of the sort!

It's funny how one plane, maybe, brings over 2 dozen war supporters in favor of the totalitarian nazi's in Kiev here.

Making America…weaker, again.

Nothing to see here;

WEF 'Disease X' is just a myth. Davos 2024 with Zelensky and the WEF!

You literally can't articulate why the plane was important beyond the fact it was in the air.

It wasn't important but Russia was using it over an active battlefield and risked air crews in it?

Likewise, if the Ukes did shoot down another 70's era non-stealthy airliner airframe over the Azov sea, I don't see why it's some sort of 'big deal' other than for the propaganda spammers out of Kiev, and their online acolytes who gobble it all up.

I think the hypocrisy on parade, and fully booked up 'escort services' that is Davos 2024 is much funnier/a bigger deal, personally. But in all seriousness, I've noted for the duration of my participation here the connected nature of this conflict to WEF, China, Biden familia etc. I unfortunately feel very vindicated right now;

As free speech is shut down online, it won't just impact our ability to share information about the Biden proxy war in Ukraine. It will impact all political discussions, and anything opposing more open border migration patterns will not be tolerated. I respect that you think you are on the side of freedom here, but I strongly disagree.

Another 'manufactured biological crisis', and maybe a political/warfare one too, appears on the horizon, heading into our next election of consequence.

Read the link I posted. It has some actual analysis instead of weapons grade copium. "It was old and not useful and didn't get shot down but if it did it was friendly fire and it won't be missed".

Yeah, you're right, I not an expert in Russian military equipment. But you know who is? The Russians! So unless this is a 37D chess move by Russia to move an old airframe off the books, kill the crew composed entirely of dissidents, and waste a Ukrainian misspoke, then the plane must have been useful to Russia.

Yes.

And now it can go on being unimportant for the Russians.

One thing's for certain, the dissent by the dozens of posts every time a Ukrainian ship/large aircraft is lost wouldn't be tolerated on the war-pimp thread.

Oh, wait, the Ukrainians don't have any large airplanes/ships, and that thread is only for Ukrainian-Biden propaganda.

I'm sure staff will happily weigh in with any feedback they have, but I'm confident there would be no issue discussing a Ukrainian plane getting shot down given that it's a tactical (I.e not political) topic.

What wouldn't be welcome is tin foil WEF bio lab conspiracies and blaming the entirety of the war on literally everyone but the one person who started it. That's what this thread is for.

Weird.

Dissent from the war, and open borders/migration, shall not be permitted (but Ukraine's borders are mucho special, or something):

It's a simple question.

If someone is going to tell an expert they are wrong on a public forum, shouldn't they be able to back that up of why their opinion should be taken seriously? My statement on the A-50 vs E-3, etc is from 14 (working on 15) years in fighter and combat aviation. I'm happy to admit I'm wrong if someone has the credentials to back that up.
