Russia is so ineffective militarily and so weak and Putin so inept that the only way to stop is to authorize billions of aid versus securing our own border. Makes total sense.

"Russia has no ability to mount an offensive"

"Ukraine needs our help"

Only one of these can be true

I think it's plainly obvious that Russia is completely inept against our hand me downs. But we have to keep authorizing ammunition and supplies for said hand me downs.

Appears the Russian troll thread is still alive and flailing as usual.

Your repeated use of the term "Kiev" screams so loudly that I cannot hear what you are saying. And hilariously, all the sources you quote cannot get it right either.

It's "Kyiv". A Ukrainian city.

That is all, later Komrades!

Until they are in NATO and we have a permanent presence there.

Even the Iraqi's blew up a few Abrams and the Yugo's managed to even bag an F117.

Ukraine will NEVER be in NATO. If they are, more reason for the US to withdraw from a completely corrupt and feckless feel good organization whose primary purpose ended 32 years ago.

Prepare for disappointment. This thing is a stalemate and there's nothing Russia can do to stop it. They simply don't have the ability.

Istanbul was Constantinople. Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople.

Why they changed it I can't say. People just liked it better that way.

Well, Russia was shelling Ukrainian civilians and Ukrainians weren't shelling Russian civilians.

That probably accounts for a large part of the extra dead Ukrainians.

Russian propaganda probably accounts for the rest...

You don't see Jimmy Carter's Iranian pals escorting Joe Biden's paymaster with American made planes/weapons very often; never, ever vote for a Democrat.

So if KimDotCom provides a direct quote to John Kirby that can be easily validated, we should not give it credence?

How about the words actually coming out of Kirby's mouth?

Message from White House and Pentagon is clear... "line our pockets with endless funding in Ukraine or line our pockets when we send equipment and troops spouting "defense of NATO" which also lines our pockets?".

Coincidentally, its also the same message you, GAC06, Teslag and a host of others have been spewing on this thread and the Uke worship thread.

I wouldn't worry about it, though an argument could certainly be made that this White House is furthering the Kremlin's interests in reality a lot more than any silliness spouted by random twitter accounts.

All the pro-war folks just want to help Ukrainian women.

If Putin had not invaded those women wouldn't be in trenches fighting his troops (that would no doubt sexually assault her if given the chance). Yet you blame everyone but him...

At this point, your continual blame of Putin is akin to blaming Eve for eating the apple.

And not one single person has disputed that. But you seem hyper focused on just one aspect of a very complex situation. To continue to repeat it over and over when nobody disputes is textbook derailing.

This is a "direct quote" from John Kirby?

Quote:

From Pentagon chief propagandist John Kirby. War between Russia and the United States seems inevitable because Russia has already won in Ukraine. It's just a formality now.
It's like you didn't even read the tweet.

The complex situation of Russian soldiers ONLY being in Ukraine because Putin ordered an invasion...

Very complex.

We know you want to excuse that part of it though...
fka ftc
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Maybe you didn't read the tweet. From John Kirby "The US military will very likely have to get involved if Putin achieves a strategic victory in Ukraine."

KimDotCom, whomever that is, is just giving their opinion after that. You seem to discount his opinion without ever offering any reasoning behind it.

As usual, all snark, no substance.

I understand you and complex are not well known to one another.

Putin ordered the invasion because he believed it was in the best interest of his country, that he is the leader of. You may not like that he is the leader of Russia, you may not agree with his reasoning, but that doesn't change him making what he (and others) view as a rational decision.

Not one time have I ever excused Putin invading. I have no issue with Zelensky and his merry band of soldiers defending their most sovereign of sovereign countries.

My issue is that we should not be involved in funding and supplying it, much less ever fighting in it. I vehemently disagree that Putin represents an immediate threat to the US or for that matter other Eastern European countries - assuming we or others do not provoke him further.

Why is it so difficult to try and understand that folks like Putin will react if you provoke or entice them?

It is a complex situation. If it is not for you, then there is a simply Uke worship thread you can enjoy with others who think like you. But that was not and has not been the purpose of this discussion.

Contribute or trot along. The snarks and derails is past, well past, being old.

Plenty of people seem to want to blame literally anyone else besides the person who started the war and who could end it today.
