The pro-russian bird chest pounding over Bakhmut after Russia was supposed to take Kiev in 3 days over a year ago is certainly a site to behold. Zelensky should definitely be ashamed.

Zelensky is sooo brave that he spends as much time in Ukraine as Biden spends awake at 1600 Pennsylvania.

So brave, so front lines.

But maybe he does some good by advising Fetterman on how to pull off the sweats and hoodie look for faux leaders.

What a hot take. The man is doing his job, and sometimes that requires travel to meet with foreign leadership of countries that are providing aid during a war in which he has indeed visited frontline troops multiple times. Hell, the action has come to him multiple times through bombings, attempted assassinations, and an attempted seizure of the country's capital. He was offered a ride out, rejected it, and said he needed weapons.

Even better is that many of the same people obsessed with detracting Zelensky would have been happier if he surrendered his country on February 2022 and are seething because he didn't.

I'd say Zelensky's doing a damn fine job representing his country. He certainly has more balls than Putin who tends to stay far, far away and would rather clean out his country's poor, ethnic minorities.

I feel like I am reading pure statist propaganda here and from all the other uke fanboys. So many posts read almost exactly the same and the quantity and the relentless nature of how they flock to any thread that doesn't say destroy the orc's. And on the sacred thread any mention of a different point of view is STRICTLY forbidden. I smell a rat.

So a crippled despot living in a palace has "more stones" than a veteran US combat pilot?

I barely post on this thread.

The Tactical & Strategic Updates thread isn't "sacred", it's just very focused. Post relevant, credible information there, and your posts are fine. Rybar, WarGonzo, and Igor Girkin can have some relevant content and are definitely Russian sources. They're not always correct, but neither are all the pro-Ukraine sources out there (Chuck Pfarrer, for instance, just makes stuff up sometimes). Rybar has had some pretty decent mapping at times.

People's posts there get removed for derailment, not point of view.

Reagan is turning over in his grave. Putin invades neighbor, spends bulk of war firing missles into old lady apartment buildings and because Glorious Leader Trump liked playing footsie with Putin AND because the fear that the U.S. might look smart for bleeding the Russian military (prior to an election year), fake conservatives are backing Russia. Biden sucks but America doesn't. I will stick by that. You all can blow Putin until your lips are sore.

Is there something wrong with fellating Putin? You seem to insensate performing such actions on another man is somehow an insult in your book.

We traded the world's most feared and connected arms dealer back to Russia for a trannie basketball player, so I would say Russia was smart and we were not. So you comment on bleeding Russian military assets falls flat when you step back and realize they have their best supply chain manager back home to replenish those assets.

Your Anderson Cooper-esque talking point on "Great Leader Trump" and Putin is tiring and again off the mark. One can respect another global leader without supporting, backing, and fellating them. Try harder to understand respect does not equal admiration.

Whatevs. Not interested in learning how our new EV powered fleet of social workers is going to save Ukraine from Russia using trillions on our tax dollars.

We have no defined goals, no plans, no laid out assistance / aid plan with a defined budget and date. Neither does Ukraine. So a tactical discussion seems pointless to me without any strategery behind it.

And Nortex is not "pro Russia" anymore than I am. Some of us just do not support wasting our time, money, resources and soldiers for a proxy battle with no objective.

At this point, you're willfully ignoring undeniable facts. I don't understand the commitment to being mad if there's no substance. Why repeat something that's been countered and proven incorrect over and over and over again? I can even understand the view that we shouldn't be involved, though I don't agree with it. At least it's coherent.

I understand the the narrative is Zelensky wants Russia out of Ukraine, though I am not entirely convinced that also is not an act.

But shouldn't he be in Kyiv planning in underground war rooms vs on a perpetual world tour and giving commencement speeches at liberal university.

Imagine Churchill touring the US over and over smoking cigars and hanging out giving commencement addresses, whilst doing nothing other than shaking the handout basket for more "donations".

Hmm.. can we get an actor President again .. cause our last two (Reagan and Trump) did pretty good job. Oh and that actor has held off the 2nd largest military at bay for over a year when everyone predicted his country would fall in less then a month. Unlike other leaders, he and his family stayed in Kyiv when the Russian surge (and fail). Seems like he is doing pretty good job, please give us more actor.. they do better then politicians President.

Those who say Reagan was just an actor seem to have no idea what Reagan's non acting experience was before and after his brief career as an actor.

Student body president of his college that got the President of the university fired, invited Black members of his football to stay at his parents when hotel was segregated, etc.

Acting was about the least interesting and least consequential aspect of his life. Where as Zelensky it's the only interesting thing.

But you kids keep trying. Some of us have actual knowledge on our sides.

The Ukraine war is now going Russia's way.

Quote:

Shift for Russia in Ukraine

Recent evidence indicates the Russian side has made tactical and operational improvements that are having an impact on the ground in Ukraine.

Washington policymakers need to update their understanding of the current trajectory of the war to ensure the U.S. is not caught off guard by battlefield events and that our interests don't suffer as a result.

There has been no shortage of legitimate evidence to support the contention that throughout 2022 the Russian side performed much worse than most expected and that Ukraine performed better than anticipated. Russia's initial battle plan was flawed at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels.

Moscow allocated an invasion force that was too small for the task, dispersed across four axes of advance (ensuring that none would be strong enough to succeed on its own), and was not equipped with supplies to sustain a long war.

Quote:

The trend of war is shifting toward Moscow, regardless of how upset that may make many in the West. It is the observable reality. What Washington must do is avoid the temptation to "double-down" on supporting a losing proposition and do whatever we need to bring this conflict to a rapid conclusion, preserving our future security to the maximum extent. Ignoring these realities could set up Ukraine for even greater losses and could put our own security at unacceptable future risk.
I'm sure that's all just propaganda though. Surely freedom will win.

No way, no how, are 'we' being fed propaganda. This is all about freedom, and sovereignty, and human rights and good vs. evil etc.

This war/situation goes back a ways. It didn't all start in 2022. I'm just re-iterating this for those who choose to read this thread for posterity. Happy Memorial Day weekend, Ags.

No one is suggesting what you have falsely proffered, repeatedly, in response to the discussion as to how Ukraine could have responded in early 2022.

But we're not in March 2022 today. This is May 2023. We're not debating whether George Washington was a traitor, or Benedict Arnold, or the Maccabee's. Your intellectually and historically shallow retorts frankly are just boring and repetitive at this point. Have a nice memorial day and thank you for your service.
