He might have some legal issues with his very last shot. He puts a final bullet in the perp after securing the fake firearm. All the others are easily justified legally.

Oof. Yeah. Still 100% on his side but this is absolutely going to get sticky with his defense with the full video. Shoot to stop versus shoot to kill still applies here in Texas. No matter how much we may disagree with it.

The Good Samaritan "dragged" the suspect after he shot him then redistributed the stolen money back to the customers.
Indeed a righteous kill, but what kind of a person doesn't render aid to the suspect he just shot?
Not in Texas.Bondag said:

Fake gun or not it is a good kill. Can I volunteer for Jury Duty?

Yeah, that's not a part of town where I would screw around with strangers (not that I would anywhere, but....)fire09 said:

Police want to question him.
That's right by Sharpstown. I believe Taquerias still outnumber most other dining options between Chimney Rock and the Beltway. I went to a concert at the Arena Theater this past Spring, for the first time in a loooonnnng time, and realized our pre-concert food would be a choice between Mexican and drive-thru.BMX Bandit said:Quote:

The last few shots are problematic from a legal defense standpoint, looking only at the legal merits of the elements of use of deadly force.
From what I understand, you can use deadly force up until the time the force is no longer necessary to protect yourself or others. Once the threat is gone, your use of force is no longer justified. The last few shots did not look necessary to me to protect others. The threat had already been eliminated. Making the decision to fire those last few shots may be the difference between this being completely justifiable and no charges (assuming he was lawfully carrying) to being charged and convicted of murder.

Why were the last shots unjustified? Do you know the threat was neutralized solely from that security footage?

Can you prove he was even alive at that point? Looked pretty dead to me from the justifiable shots.
Are you going with reckless discharge or desecration of a corpse?

Well, a doctor or any other medical professional has not declared him dead at that point. It probably can be terminated that the initial shots would end up being fatal, but the guy still could be alive at the point of the unjustified head shot
