WH please request russia to stop bombing power facilities in Ukraine and apartment buildings. Oh and why your at it, might as well ask them to stop their invasion of Ukraine a sovereign country.

How ****ing ridiculous we are.

Man, I truly understand why America engenders a LOT of hate around the world. I really do. For another thread though.

What this confirms though to me is that these strikes are having an actual measurable effect. The Russians are already at full wartime economy in all but name at this point so might as well give them the full experience in case they have forgotten. For all their national pride of the Great Patriotic War, that was several generations ago. Russian infrastructure was already known to be pretty shoddy and repair work just as subpar to nonexistent. And that was before the war started. Keeping the attack pressure up on these refinery strikes is just flat out good wartime strategy especially with a country like Russia.

Keep in mind too, that unlike strikes on railroads that they are well trained and equipped to repair, many of their petrochem facilities were built with a high degree of western support and expertise. The equipment and knowledge to repair what has been damaged may be difficult for Russia to get their hands on.

Mass shooting in Moscow just occurred. There were warnings a lil while ago of the danger of a public terrorist attack in Russia by our intelligence. This might have been it. Or tangentially related. I think the fear was polling stations being attacked but the shooters may have been spooked and postponed for a bit. Or this may be another thing entirely of course. Just reminded me how good our intel was on the invasion start. We nailed it on that one. Kudos to you, whoever the gubment watcher is on this site.

Haven't seen anyone or group claim responsibility yet over there. This actually may be ongoing as we speak.

Feels like a false flag similar to the alleged apartment bombing during the Chechen war.

Undoubtedly. I remember watching a behind the scenes at a tank part factory over there a few years ago and every single precision machine that was in there and made post 1991, was either German or Swiss. They even made a point to call it out, like they were proud of that or something. Even back then I thought that was a weakness. I'll see if I can find it again.

Russia absolutely has some of the smartest and hardest working people in this world. They just don't have enough of them though and more importantly they don't have the full western structure of finding, cultivating, and maintaining/supporting them that most other first world nations do. Culture and corruption is a cancer on them. It costs them during interwar periods when an immediate critical need is not present and they no longer have the will or desire to pay up to develop what they need to to stay on par with the rest of the first worlds.

The problem for the rest of the world now being, proxy third party buyers for the western tech and parts they need. That is honestly a whole other massive topic in itself even outside this current war but plenty of evidence that it is alive and well and being utilized by Russia in certain critical wartime areas.

This. They actually end up negatively sorting for them in their military by rewarding sycophants who tell their commanders what they want to hear instead of what reality is. I doubt their industrial sector is all that different. They also lost a ton of those type of people between 1991 and 2022 with them leaving to go to places where their hard work and ingenuity would be rewarded.

Saw a video. At least 3 gunman wearing matching camouflage and using modern-ish kit and AKs. Putin will for sure blame Ukes. Hell, Maybe just finally go for it all and declare them NATO death squads. Bunker mentality is wild to see.

False flag...or Chechens (or Muslims of any location). Maybe that Russian break away group?

Ukes have to know that they would lose most, if not all, of their support if they did this.

I keep reading articles that now he won the election again, that he is going all in this war. They no longer refer to it as SMO. Thought is he needs to start mobilizing the metro population and a false flag would be a good start.

Take it up with Putin. It appears we warned them and provided intelligence and he deemed it Western evil and let it happen.

I'm sorry, not really, I opened this link I read at least 12 to 15 articles and blew several hours reading a bunch of awesome stuff raging from F-16's to Ohio class subs to the M4 Sherman and even the battle of Gettysburg.

Awesome stuff. But be warned you may be late for whatever is next in your day. Open with caution

Interesting thread claiming that the goal of the Ukrainian refinery strikes is less about cutting fuel production and more about stopping production of feedstocks for explosives and artillery propellants.

Another interesting analysis suggesting Russia will run low on usable tube artillery pieces by the end of the year. Sounds like if Ukraine can get enough supplies to hold the line a bit longer, their fortunes may look brighter later this year and into 2025.

If Sunday's strikes on the Yamal and Azov are confirmed, it would likely mean Russia had only three working landing ships left in the Black Sea. Ukraine says Moscow began the full-scale invasion with 13 such vessels.
