FAE/vacuum bombs (GBU43/B) can have a 400+ yard blast radius so they could cause lot of mines to detonate. But that would sure be an expensive way to clear mines, also most are dumb bombs and with both sides have decent air defense systems that would be..well dumb. Have to fly almost right over your target and at a cost of $16 million each that is an expensive target in the sky

Determining friend from foe will be difficult, but detection and triangulation gear deployed out front cans find and locate them, and short range high performance suicide homing drones can kill them.
Not entirely true. Drones can fly a preset flight path and take pictures/video that's scaled when they return. The downside is less than real time intel, but they can be much harder to detect.
Yes, they can go retrieve and then return for safe download or they can transmit back with burst or frequency hopping but the most useful data is real time targeting, feedback. To conduct FPV attacks with target confirmation and course correction, or to surveil a battle in progress to aid ground forces real time, or to correct fire. They have to transit on a regular basis to send timely and useful video feed.

The instrumentation to DF radio frequencies using triangulation is more cumbersome and expensive when you are trying to DF >GHz frequencies with <500mW radiated power especially if the sensors are carried by the infantry and need a battery that last for days at a time. RF triangulation relies on setting up an array of antennas to capture the radiated energy and the more sensitive the antenna, the more care that must be taken in setting it up.
Rotor noise is unavoidable and at distances under 1000m for small rotors is easy to DF with acoustic vector sensors. The acoustic sensors I have seen demonstrated are not to be confused with Doppler based microphone systems that were fielded for small arms localization back in the 2007 timeframe. These are much more compact and reliable on a wider range of frequencies. They also work well for small arms localization (counter sniper) which doesn't emit RF energy.
This is correct. They at least got around the base if not in it to geo locate all those sites. It would have been better not to publicize it unless they were told to so that those assests would be forced to move and reveal other positions or expose them further.
It would be awesome if Ukraine could do an attack on Putin's Palace (more of a symbolic attack), but I imagine there's a couple S400 batteries protecting it

That far behind the line and none of them moving after the first one is hit leads me to believe those were unmanned. Still a good amount of equipment lost. What would be more disconcerting to me if I were Russia is you had an ISR drone loiter long enough to provide exact locations of that equipment.
