2025 Midlothian OL Nelson McGuire commits to Texas A&M
Building blocks in the trenches are always a must in any recruiting cycle, and Mike Elko and his staff have added another big one as one of the top offensive linemen in Texas announced his commitment to the Aggies.
Midlothian offensive lineman Nelson McGuire has been one of the hottest 2025 prospects in Texas, with offers arriving from Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss, Clemson, TCU and Texas A&M from early August to today.
At 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, his nimble footwork, ability to bend and balance and mean streak and power in the trenches have caught the attention of college coaches throughout the recruiting process.
McGuire camped at Texas A&M in June, and he received his offer in September. He promptly scheduled an unofficial visit to Texas A&M, and now he joins the Aggies’ 2025 recruiting class as its 22nd member.
Offensive line coach Adam Cushing led the Aggies’ recruiting efforts, and McGuire joins Connor Carty, Marcus Garcia, Josh Moses, Jonte Newman and Tyler Thomas in Texas A&M’s offensive line class.
In addition to the Aggies and the other offers mentioned above, McGuire also received offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Baylor, Boston College, Houston, Kansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Memphis, Minnesota, North Texas, SMU, Texas State, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UNLV, USC, UTEP and Vanderbilt.
He is currently ranked No. 63 in the TexAgs 2025 Texas Top 100.
