Speaking in the @HouseofCommons, the Defence Secretary says the UK does not consider the firing of the missile to be a deliberate escalation by the Russians - UK analysis would concur this was a malfunction
— Deborah Haynes (@haynesdeborah) October 20, 2022
"We do not consider this a deliberate escalation by the Russians. Our analysts would concur it was a malfunction. However it's a reminder of quite how dangerous things can be when you choose to use your fighters in the manner that the Russians have done over many periods of time.

Interestingly the UK Defence Secretary talks about how Russian warplanes often fly v close to UK, US and other NATO aircraft - with a Russian jet coming within 15 feet of a NATO plane on one occasion!!!! He called this "reckless, unnecessary and puts at risk many people's lives"

It this still just a "special military operation" that has removed all the fighting age males from the Russian population? Just curious what they are calling it these days.

I'm starting to think this guy might like to seem like he knows more than he does. Watching the linked video he posted of the damage, that doesn't look like shape charge cut pipe to me. I say that as someone who has cut a lot of oilfield pipe using shape charges. here is a screen cap from the video:Rossticus said:NOTE: Precise charge calculations were used in the placement of purpose built linear shaped charges.
