75% of them shot dead with firearms.
It was nothing but a killing spree unleashed by Russia.
I'm not so sure anyone can compete with Russian technology after seeing that ingenius coat hook. I would have never even thought of that added feature.AGS-R-TUFF said:DIY Garbage Truck KitRossticus said:— Status-6 (@Archer83Able) April 21, 2022
Russian Senator Andrei Klimov called NATO a "suicide club" and warned that Sweden and Finland could meet the fate of the Azovstal steel fighters in Mariupol if they join NATO

Klimov warns that Ukraine destroyed its potential through pursuing NATO and anti-Russian militarism, and cautions Sweden and Finland against following its path

Klimov is engaging in the saber-rattling that encourages Sweden and Finland to view Russia as a threat and join NATO
They’re also sending more Milans. There’s been a small flow of them since the beginning of the war but we’re not seeing a lot of them in pics.

This has been Russia's mentality for centuries. A lot of it comes out of fact that they've been the ***** of numerous other entities since the 13th century when the Mongols invaded. Some could argue it go all the way back to Rurik.Rossticus said:
And an eff ton of Russian people wholly buy into that line of thinking, along with the fact that "the west" is squarely to blame for all of Russia's domestic and economic issues. There's no personal accountability. Just victimhood. Because that's the beneficial path for both a corrupt government and the populace under their control.
So many citizens trust Putin implicitly. Everything he says is truth and no matter the evidence to the contrary, if it runs counter to his assertion then it's all somehow fabricated.
Moscow's grand message to Kyiv (and the West on Ukraine) still is: we have more resources, more people to spare, more guns to shoot. We can stand longer.

Not really a shock. Russia is the largest maker of vacuum tubes in the world because so much of their tech is still based on it. For whatever reason, either the inability to produce modern tech or they just prefer to use old, tried and true tech, they really do not push the envelope when it comes to technical development.Rossticus said:The Ukrainian military claims that the guidance systems and electronics recovered from Russian Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles used in Ukraine were developed in the 1960-1970s. https://t.co/XF0lEM3jdH pic.twitter.com/4XTaWCO0WS

Among that weapons-grade delusion is the interesting point that they want a land connection to Transnistria, certainly to continue their campaign across Europe. According to Russian state media the new short term goal of Russia is to connect Transnistria to Russia. Completely cutting Ukraine out of the natural resource filled Black Sea. In 2014 a lot of analysts thought Russia’s goal with Crimea was based on water and fracking rights.

Ukraine has 11M males between the ages of 15 and 54. If even only half are available for military service, that's still millions of fighting-age bodies. Russia isn't going to out-die Ukraine.Rossticus said:
That could eventually become a problem if Russia is willing to simply out die Ukraine. People are the one resource that NATO isn't going to be providing.
This has been my suspected root cause of Russia's invasion since day 1. The possibility of Ukraine's long term threat to European O&G market share was THE existential threat to Russia - not NATO per se. Russia's O&G sector is 60% of their GDP and provides 40% of their federal revenue. Without O&G, Russia's per capita GDP literally drops below Guatemala. Follow the money.Rossticus said:According to Russian state media the new short term goal of Russia is to connect Transnistria to Russia.
