I was an Aviation warfare systems operator (AW) on a P-3 during my military days. Would have loved to experience the P-8. Many of the airframes I flew on were older than I was.

Everything in Russia is pretty much related to either St. Petersburg or Moscow.

If Houston and NY City were the only main metropolis in the US, Houston would be a reference for any other town in Ok, LA, NM area.

We are just starting to get a little payback for the Russian involvement in Vietnam. However, in Vietnam, we wouldn't bomb airfileds and left Haiphong Harbor open for business due to now wanting to risk hitting any Russians.

Germany finding a way around its self-imposed restrictions on heavy arms transfers to Ukraine.

TANKS

"The planned workaround would see NATO ally Slovenia send a large number of its T-72 battle tanks to Ukraine. To replace these, Germany would then send Slovenia a number of Marder tanks and Fox wheeled tanks from its own supplies."

Note: Neither Marder nor Fox are tanks. Slovenia's tanks are M-84s, which are significantly upgraded T-72s.

They're all fast, tough to tell fast from really fast visually. Plus looks like the smoke trail was corkscrewing which suggests an IR seeker, not starstreak

If you scroll down that page it is starkly obvious when stinger came online in the fight. Intro'd Sept '86

almost all of the downings in '87 show shotdown by MANPADS.

almost all of the downings in '87 show shotdown by MANPADS.
Seems it changed from only helicopters being shot down to fighter jets also being shot down the end of '84. Probably not a DShK shooting down jets.

Russia wouldn't do isht about it either way. They're just trying to get out of this with their ass intact and not having to obviously withdraw with their tails between their legs.


After this operation, they won't have anything between their legs.
