I like the idea of lighter, highly mobile artillery given the current conditions in the field and the existing advantage UAF have shown in flexibility and adaptability.
I like the idea of one or two of those groups of SOF on 4 wheelers with night vision riding around the countryside in Russia loosening rail ties plates on curves and demoing road bridges leading to the front.
Putin says he doesn’t want the factory stormed. It will be inexpedient to get bogged down inside. Lock it down so that not even a fly can escape, he tells Shoigu. pic.twitter.com/fACOrS9JJE
Watch the video. Leg twitching and despite firmly holding table (which is an unnatural action given the context) fingers and thumb still twitch. Body appears somewhat slumped in posture. Something is definitely not right with Putin at this point.
You hate to see it happen.
There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the later ignorance. Hippocrates
⚡️Danilov: Russia's large-scale offensive in Donbas has not yet begun.
National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said Russia’s recent offenses in Ukraine’s east have been “trial” operations to test Ukraine’s defenses.

He also cautioned against reports that the Battle of Donbas will be the last and most decisive as Russia still has time to amass new resources and reserves.

Should be the most powerful and successful assault in history. I mean it took two months of feints and reconnaissance in force to set up this masterpiece
If you have an independent and critical mind and want to have a comprehensive picture of events, subscribe to accounts labeled as “Russia state-affiliated media”. In most cases they are not affiliated but provide alternative facts. Useful addition to other sources of information.
Why wasn't this targeted from the get-go? Hell, send a neptune after it.
Does it have the range from the Odessa region to make it?
I think that depends on where you want to hit the bridge. I said taking out that bridge was a legitimate target several hundred pages ago. But not sure which munitions and how much would be required to effectively close the bridge down for a long period of time.
That central span is the weakest part. It has to have the arch to support its length so boats can pass underneath. The rest of the bridge is simple concrete pylons with concrete laid sections. Those are pretty robust and pretty easy to do an emergency repair. Hitting the longest span would not only be harder to rebuild, limit the weight that could cross with an emergency repair. It would also block a shipping lane.

"Tomorrow when the war began".
Just find a cargo ship carrying highly flammable fuel/oil and explode it underneath to melt the stays between the deck and the arch. It would have to be pretty hot on the RR bridge as it uses W Flanges and tubes for the struts but the road bridge is cables, which is more typical.
A saboteur, would have likely have to sever 12 connection points of the struts (between deck and arches) which look to be about 30' above the track. Since the russians built it maybe only half that. The road bridge would be much easier able to access the cables at deck height and a few turns of det chord & a 1-2LB TNT on each cable cutting at least 2 adjacent cables on each side of the road bridge. Would not have to be in unison as the asymmetrical torsion loads created might help with the demo.
Below is failure in which one or more tendons failed. This is a single arch versus double but same concept and requiring the least amount of explosives.
The formula for TNT in military operations is P + M = E P = plenty M = more E = enough
As I reported last month, British intelligence sources confirmed to me that he has Parkinson’s disease and has to consult doctors multiple times a week. https://t.co/BCRQzARFMf
Russia may have gone all the way through the bottom of the barrel…. I feel sorry for the dog.
#Russia's crack troops in #Luhansk region. They look like they have two hours of firearm training between the bunch of them. Conscripted into cannon fodder.
new satellite imagery of the expansion of a mass grave site in Manhush, ~20 kilometers west of Mariupol, where (allegedly) Russian soldiers have been taking bodies. The images progress from March 23 to April 3. 📸@maxarpic.twitter.com/ny7KZL4iQF

Looks like he had Chipotle for lunch and is fighting a shart..
Can you imagine having a "dialogue" like this with your boss? Shoigu is stiff at the edge of his chair, looks like Putin has a 12" piece of rebar welded at the end of the chair and it is up Shoigu's ass.
I bet Ol' Vlad really knows how to keep a meeting on course but keep it light. He wants to get things done, but everyone should have fun doing it. Model leadership style. Who wouldn't want to work for this guy?
72 155mm howitzers is ~80% of the number of howitzers that remain in the active component of the Marine Corps. It suggests that they are M777 towed howitzers. Properly employed, that's a lot of firepower especially if they can get the Ukes trained to use the digital fire control system (DFCS).
Before I saw all your replies,I was going to say the same thing. Side effects of Parkinsons meds - the increased movements and tremors. Gets worse over time. Eventually one can get Parkinsons dementia. Gripping the table to suppress demonstration of hand tremors. But you can see his head move. He can't put his head in a brace.

Not much about it other than suicide drone. Only 121 of them. I wonder if they chase active radar/radio emitters?
With both USAF and the manufacturer being so closed mouth about PG's capabilities, I'd imagine it is something highly tailored for a specific target set.
It's brand new and if it is successful in its combat debut, we'll undoubtedly order far more than 121.

One of the primary meds used for Parkinson's is Levadopa. Chronic use (or overuse) of Levadopa has been linked with potential for delusions, hallucinations, and other psychoses such as paranoid schizophrenia. My mom had vascular parkinsons, and when they put her on too much levadopa initially, she became absolutely nuts and was coming up with all kinds of bizarre stories she was convinced were real. If Putin is taking dopamine and listening to the delusions of his military leaders while he is off his rocker, no wonder people are saying there is no reasoning with him.

This is a good point. I have seen this many times. it's kind of like someone who goes crazy on meth. Same thing is happening -- too much dopamine.
Decades of misallocated and corrupt maintenance coupled with a dwindling supply of foreign parts make for spectacular failures when asked to suddenly ramp up to war-time production.

Hallucinations are a huge issue with Parkinson dementia. My neighbor has it and I'm uneasy knowing Putin is going through the same thing (his delusions of a broader war).
Claim that US Navy Poseidon aircraft provided tracking and targeting data on the Moskva.
*If true* it could be construed as direct US involvement in the attack.
Russia wouldn't do isht about it either way. They're just trying to get out of this with their ass intact and not having to obviously withdraw with their tails between their legs.
