While it still would be preferable to be on a sea bed, but that mobile anti-aircraft platform is taken offline.
Biggest issue for Putin now is any ship is vulnerable to attack. Limits his chess pieces.

Yeah I'm waiting for the pictures. I kinda doubt the own power bit but it is possible. If she got there under her own power I'd be looking into a courts martial for the Captain. Abandoning the ship when she can get back to port is a really terrible look.RebelE Infantry said:

Not sure I buy it given that Russian MoD reported evacuation of the crew. Satellite imagery should shed some light on this in the next day or so.

I believe some context would be beneficial here. The basic load for a rifleman when I was deployed was 210 rounds - 7 mags of 30. Many of us carried more depending on circumstances & expectations. Add 2 pistol mags for another 30 (2x15). So 240 rounds at bare minimum 2/

I'm trying to figure out the outrage here. With a war between the 2 parties, the border should be closed. I imagine they were trying to hit a high priority target passing through.MouthBQ98 said:BattleGrackle said:Waffledynamics said:Trucks of the Ministry of Emergencies of #Russia in #Kherson pic.twitter.com/3WBvX0ZMKj

Looks like some mortar projectiles to me.
Was there any civilian traffic given the two nations are at war? I figure most anything crossing that border would be military

They captured an Ukrainian Marine with previous experience in serving with a foreign service.
I don't get the hoopla other than he had a youtube / twitter account that was "well known".

⚡️ Forbes Ukraine: Russian destroyed navy missile cruiser Moskva worth $750 million.
— The Kyiv Independent (@KyivIndependent) April 14, 2022
Ukraine has destroyed 5,260 units of Russian military equipment but the Black Sea Fleet flagship is Russia’s most expensive loss, Forbes Ukraine reported.
Wait until they tow it back to dry dock, then blast it again. Don't disagree with this one bit. Major blow to Russia. Shipwrights in Sevastopol certainly have their work cut out for them.
News --> Pentagon: After the explosion aboard the Moskva, US has observed 4 or 5 other Russian warships have repositioned farther from the shore

Could have been a missile, a mine or mishap involving ammo on board that triggered the blast

750 Million! That will buy a lot of potatoes.
Putin has to be fuming mad right now as he yells at walls in his bunker. What a disaster he created.
#Russian media also claim the village of Klimovo in the Bryansk Oblast was targeted by Ukrainian forces and that seven people were injured in the attack pic.twitter.com/BZVdu2kPkI

There are no clashes in this area of the border, so an attack in Bryansk would not make a lot of sense, unless it targets a military target or something connected to it (oil depots for instance, as may have been the case a few weeks ago).

If this map is accurate and a Neptune can hit a docked ship target, Sevastopol is well within range.RebelE Infantry said:G Martin 87 said:Wait until they tow it back to dry dock, then blast it again. I'm not sure the Ukrainians have the capability to hit Sevastopol (if that is where the repairs will be made).
One interesting historical tidbit is this would be the first sunk Russian Cruiser since 1941.

I asked what Moskva had been doing. Western official: "One of its key roles was to provide the command and control function across those vessels operating in the Black Sea...they ought to have sufficient capability to continue to provide air defence [to] their maritime forces."

If I'm mapping it correctly, it's only 200 miles from Odessa to sevastopol. Between drone flight time and range of Neptunes, it's not impossible.
