Throughout all of this I am in awe of the absolute decline of the Russian Bear. For decades, war planners had one nightmare scenario: Guards Armies storming through the Fulda Gap followed by massive artillery barrages. Where are the vaunted Shock armies now? Where is the historical aggression that was once so feared?
This entire war is mind boggling in it's turtle paced efforts by Russian forces.

The strikes were near a communications tower and possibly targeting an oil refinery

This is suggestive of a continued offensive rather than merely striking NATO arms transfers, which could align with a Donbas centric mission pic.twitter.com/k1J3qmJQGN

Ukrainian troops have killed Russian Lt. Gen. Yakov Rezantsev in a strike near Kherson, per 🇺🇦 defense ministry.
— Jack Detsch (@JackDetsch) March 26, 2022
Rezantsev, commander of the 49th combined army, is the 7th 🇷🇺 general killed in 🇺🇦 in a month. Another 2-star general was killed in a strike on the same base.
Its a G4 though? Or am I missing something?Rossticus said:

That would be number 9. That's 45% of the total number of generals taking part of the invasion. Wow.Robk said:Ukrainian troops have killed Russian Lt. Gen. Yakov Rezantsev in a strike near Kherson, per 🇺🇦 defense ministry.

We have to be giving them info. The fact that they've had 2 3-star generals killed absolutely blows my mind.

This decision mirrored his rhetoric as president during the 2008 Georgian War, which he viewed as a step towards multipolarity /2Despite this, Medvedev appeared to decry Russia's expulsion from Europe, claiming that anti-Russian EU countries do not have a "monopoly on Europeanness"

Medvedev reassured investors that Western companies would not be nationalized, and said Western companies privately discussed returning to Russia's market /6Medvedev's message is that Russia is not isolated. Instead, it has expedited a multipolar order to respond to US aggression and European exclusion.

Either the Russians are abandoning high value but inoperable vehicles or they are being overrun. The average Russian soldier's psyche is probably pretty fragile at this point and I could see panic start to set in. I'm not suggesting the Ukrainians are about to rout the invaders, but hopefully the Ukes have contingency plans and are prepared for mass surrenders and don't get over extended themselves.
If it's a rout, I think the Ukes will hold mass executions. They will be out for blood.
I would hope they don't. They have all of the free world, less a few bass ackwards countries, on their side right now. Committing their own war crimes would make it very easy for the military aid they've been receiving to come to a halt.
