The problem is it's way too much about the counselors and the stupid skits they put on.

Just run it like a normal camp and have activities for kids to pick from throughout the day (swim, dance, movies, sports, etc). The counselors should essentially be chaperons.

Two weeks later I went to FOW and basically never had the time for my fish camp anyways. I actually met my pisshead at fish camp.
Ha, this happened to me too. We were having a pretty good conversation until we realized who each other was and then the conversation turned cold quick. Made for a good laugh at the end of the year though.

I thought all the FC counselors were socially awkward virgins looking for a way to be around possible hookups.

Does no one else have a problem with the way that article describes some ******r guy playing the long game to get in a girl's pants "grooming"? That was college! Finding women and figuring out how to get in their pants! Sometimes it takes longer than you like and sometimes you get stuck in the friend zone.

And the idea that we have no concept of personal responsibility anymore? A freshman girl decided to **** some older guy and now it's sexual harassment? That's what freshman girls do - they let themselves be impressed by an older guy and drop their panties. Call it a bad decision but at least take responsibility for it.

I never went but I had the same thought. Freshman girls make bad decisions and male FC counselors are just there for the possibility of being on the other end of that bad decision.

A long-standing tradition.
