I don't think Boca Chica will be the regular launch site. Florida is where they will launch from at scale.

They're building sophisticated manufacturing and launch facilities at both sites. I think they'll use both at scale. Maybe even a 3rd and 4th.

Elon's goal is 10,000 Starship launches per year

Yeah, there is no way they are going to build multiple launch towers and gigabays at both locations to only launch operational missions in Florida. Starbase may be the main testing and R&D facility, but they will be doing plenty of operational launches there too.

Will be interesting to see what they do with the large coastal property they are rumored to be buying in Southern Louisiana. Could be strictly manufacturing with the access to the ICW to transport to either launch site, or could be a 3rd launch site eventually.

Weather? Or are they going to do a test fire on the new engines to make sure they have the ignition issues dealt with?

Not weather.

I would think the weather would be better earlier this week, not later

The shutdown was not a graceful shutdown. There could have been engine damage

I was chatting with a couple fellas wearing media credentials at the bar in Port Isabel after the attempt on Thursday. The general comment to the initial thoughts of a Monday (today) attempt...

Yeah, that's "Elon Math"

That is what I had posted, but he was mistaken on Friday, but didn't delete this post. It is Thursday, NOT Friday.

Yeah still Thursday. I doubt the weather is a factor.

Storm is supposed to break up and fall apart as it reaches the upper Texas coast. Should be no issue for South Texas.

Astronomers find the first atmosphere on a rocky world in the habitable zone | ScienceDaily https://share.google/FKHF684dj1NWKGQEF

Astronomers have found the first confirmed atmosphere around a rocky planet in another star's habitable zone. The planet, LHS 1140 b, revealed its atmosphere through helium slowly leaking into space. Located 48 light-years away, the world may have preserved its atmosphere for billions of years, making it a promising target in the search for potentially habitable planets.

Don't they also have another booster and ship in the midst of testing for Flight 14? Could be closures related to running those out for tests as well.

Say's closed on the day before from 9am to 11pm and closed on launch day from 7am to 9pm...

How does that not fit with a rollout and launch?

What did last weeks closures look like?

I am guessing it is booster roll out and static fire on day before, then ship roll out, stack, and launch on day of.

So pretty much what they did last week. They stacked overnight Wednesday night before Thursdays attempt.

Weather future cast map on the Houston news this evening showed storms in the valley Thursday afternoon though.
