Looks pretty clear to me that there were two explosions. Or even three, if an explosion preceded the fire. When the explosion happened, it appeared that a second, larger explosion overtook the first. And while it is possible that the elevator simply had debris knocked off of it, the video looks for all the world that some of the silos are blowing out.
The live stream video shows the elevator still standing, though heavily damaged. Several possibilities. One, is that the elevator did not blow up at all. Two, is that the elevator blew up, the outer walls blew out, the inner core is still standing. Three, one end of the elevator blew up, but not the other.
I'm wondering about the third possibility. The elevator you can see on the live feed does not appear to be as long as the pre-explosion photos.
