looks like the red trimmed pic is actually way before, as the boat sank in the beirut harbor in 2018.

Quote:

The abandoned Rhosus sank where she was moored in Beirut harbour, according to a May, 2018 email from a lawyer to Prokoshev, which said it had gone down "recently".

That "missile" was clearly shopped in. Look at the difference in the sharpness of detail between the background and the "missile". Obviously different resolutions and camera speeds. Amateur work.

I'm trying to find it elsewhere because it's on Facebook, but someone took a couple of videos of the secondary explosion made them in negative form and you can make out an object falling out of the sky and hitting the site and the second explosion takes place.

Let's make the elevator a compass, and the seaward end 180 degrees, the inshore end 0/360,

First video, the "missile" seems to come in from about 200 degrees, headed to the NE.

Second video, the "missile" seems to come from the NW, from about 320 degrees, headed SE.

But both "missiles" enter from the top left of the frame, transiting the frame at the same angle.

Almost as if the same photoshop image were used in both clips.

You're absolutely correct. If the first video is real, then the second video should show the missile coming from the right.

I can't believe there's even a discussion about the veracity of that video. From the same forum that brought you actual sleuthing to make a solid handwriting match (in my opinion), to wondering if a perfectly crisp missile that shows no motion blur is legitimate.

This is a very sad day. I'm sure some people are wondering in good faith, but it makes me wonder how many accounts here are actually just present to stir the pot and return everyone to a Jade Helm state of mind.

To be fair, if you only watch it full speed, it is interesting.

And doing it as a negative was a neat trick. Most people aren't photography nuts like me, and realize the trick. They just assume it's some sort of CSI enhancement that allowed us to see the missile.

Not only that but how about.... not one of the DOZENS of videos from different angles shows it.

And nobody on the ground reported seeing it.

If we're being fair then using a video to suggest it was a missile strike without any reasonable media (and I'd include many, many fringe news outlets somewhat credible to start entertaining that idea) reporting that possibility is pretty out there.

It's not just probably fake, it's obviously fake.

The video went up at 12:16, by 12:22 it was being questioned.

By 12:30, even the guy who posted it was calling fake.

It to not be posted.

Also, I know saying "don't take it personally" won't prevent you or anyone else from taking it personally, but I really hope no one does.

I'm less worried about the individuals than I am that so much in today's world is shared uncritically or with minimal investigation. And that's from all sources, on all platforms, about all manner of subjects.

I'm sympathetic to difficulty in finding trustworthy outlets. I consume zero cable news on TV, and always read M5M articles until I find the paragraph that makes the headline wrong; which is almost always within the final five paragraphs, regardless of length. There are enough stories that seem stranger than fiction without actually creating fictional stories.

It might also be relevant to know--for those who feel personally slighted by my pushback--that I've shared a fair amount of "fake news" myself; more so in the past than lately, but I still get tricked. I'm pushing back to help keep everything from becoming unnecessarily partisan or inflammatory. To the degree that a fake missile strike takes the focus off the unreasonable storage of 2.8kt of ammonium nitrate next to a three-month buffer of regional grain stores, I find the sharing of the narrative unproductive.

Probably because of the same fake video debated on here yesterday.

All evidence points to the detonation of a warehouse of ammonium nitrate. It detonated because IT WAS ON FIRE. Not because of a rocket or bomb. The fire may have been intentionally set, but that doesn't take explosives.

Or, the president of a country that was already experiencing widespread protests before the explosion wants to deflect the blame off of his government's incompetence.

My theory is that the warehouse locations of the Hezbollah arms were leaked. Israel or such then set fire to the warehouses in Iran and Beirut...It just so happened that the warehouse in Beirut was next to a bunch of Ammonia Nitrate and boom.

Israel. They don't f*** around and deal with bureaucracy like those p*ssy western european countries. Although this is pretty bad if it was them and they caused all this collateral damage.

Don't you think the CIA was knowledgeable or even participated with the Mossad? I find it hard to believe Israel is doing all of this on their own. I do think Iran/Hezbollah was the target and the Ammonium Nitrate was a bit of a surprise. I think Trump had a Freudian slip at the press conference about the "attack", then doubling down about it being a bomb. I'm guessing that was a big mistake on his part and the intel community had a collective heart attack when this was mentioned at the press briefing.

I don't think this was Israel. Usually their operations seem much more target specific. If there was a bomb I would guess it was a terrorist group. Now which terrorist group in the middle east? No clue.

I feel for the people in these videos. I honestly don't know what I would have done in that situation. Its so easy to sit here and think "yeah, I would have obviously run back inside" or the opposite, but in that moment, you have so little time to react. Like in this video, I don't know if the right call was to run back inside or not...

Running back inside behind tall panes of glass probably not the best move. Laying prone out in the open or behind a structure resistant to the blast would be best. In this case, the building support column/security fence. But that's a lot of Monday morning QBing

Your time to process thought there would be about this much of your typed well thought out reasoning even in real time in your head:

"Running back"

boom. that's it.

instinct is all you have time for and peoples instinct is run.
