Started toward the end of clinton and continued with Bush and Obama.....DoD tried to put a stop to it but Chinese corp buyouts of US companies where approved by a slew of administrations. It was a dam 30 year play. That is the kind of enemy we are dealing with.
read some articles on that about 2 years ago. that was what truly opened my eyes upto the true intentions of the Chinese.
Prior to that I viewed our economic relations with them as just dumb akin to NAFTA and other outsourcing bull**** but on a slightly grander scale since they own so much of our debt. I knew Ckinton's campaign was funded by them and that was why he had opened our country up to them to the tune of basically handing over military secrets and hardware to them while in office.
Then i found out about the rocket fuel which is arguably one of the greatest military strategic resources in today's day and age. If you don't have that it doesn't matter how many jets you can put in the skies. The rockets have to be fueled to be used.
That caused me to want to start digging deeper and got into how much of telcomm they control in NA as well as Europe and how that feeds into their intel service.
Then research into how much of our media they actually own.
I have been anti china on this board ever since. Which is why Big Rob et al. would really get me going when they would downplay our relationship with China as being good for consumers and thus the country.
It was never good for the country. If the 3 gorges dam fails yeah it will be a human tragedy. but demolishing 1/3 of china, their human capital, a good chunk of their manufacturing, and forcing them to focus huge resources on internal matters for the next 10 years would be good for the world and might stem or head off what would be a nasty confrontation and potentially slow down the worst human rights violating regime and most murderous government the world has ever seen.
You underestimate the CCP. They have been plotting/planning their ascendancy / our downfall at their hands a LOT longer than 30 years. It was the fifties, fully 65+/- years ago, of which the first step was accomplished only when the US stopped recognizing Taiwan as the "official" China in like 1972. I think it was part of Nixon's plan at that time.
So yeah, long play on their part. China is nothing if not patient, with little regard for human life, especially non-Chinese. And this is ALL CCP.
We are poor humanitarians if we cheer for 3GD to fail, but sadly, if you understand their long play and patience, it is also inhuman to us if you do not...
