Sigh. I work with a number of public health offices and they absolutely stand by the studies. The evidence is there that it limits transmission. This is especially important when you have such a high number of asymptomatic cases. The idea isn't to protect the wearer.
You can't say it doesn't work just because you don't like the idea. You're just wrong.
