Shouldn't fatality rate be measured out of dead + recovered? Constantly changing the denominator (new cases) makes it inconsistent to me.

Then you should be calculating CFR based on the infected numbers from a week ago.

I believe so, but the reporter was speaking pretty quickly, so I didn't get a good grasp on it while I was typing.

I know that when they answered, I believe President Trump had the FEMA guy respond, then he said something about how we are working with China and the CDC has offices all over the world and is augmenting it's presence in China. They mentioned the name of an organization which I couldn't catch and said that they called it CDC China?

IIRC, it sounded like the post had something to do with the Chinese gov knowing about it and maybe a mention of a lab or something?
