Oncor is a TDSP - Transmission and Distribution service provider. The primary concern is not the transmission system (although a tornado can definitely rip down towers), but the distribution system from substation in your neighborhood to the meter on your house or business. The timing of this is not great as storm season is around the corner.
My physician wife reports widespread testing in DFW has not materialized this week and they are still being rationed to about 20 tests per day in DFW by the Texas Dept of health. A colleague reported that a patient in a Dfw area clinic was denied testing with recent travel history to Italy and all symptoms except they claimed fever at home earlier in the day but the fever was not present at time of visit.
You get my point. It was a statement in the most simplistic expression.

I mean, the stats were like 99.whatever% for those in that age range, so obviously not 100.
The issue in America is the testing, honestly. If We would just start testing, we could be making more proactive decisions rather than playing from behind.
I also just want data to see what's really going on. The testing at this point is a point of failure because it's leaving people in the dark.

Here in AL - where I practice pulmonary medicine. Where "no cases" of COVID-19 have been reported. Like our sister state of MS. Why? Terrible lack of testing. It's here. Trust me.
On call today. I just got consulted and saw a elderly man with cough, altered mental status and a fever of 103 deg. Clear chest xray. Respiratory viral panel (Flu A.B plus 5 other common cold viruses) neg. Had to be intubated for respiratory failure. No other source of infection obvious. No respiratory isolation ordered. No coronavirus testing ordered. Just a pulmonary consult. No travel / exposure risks.
HAVE to test this patient and those like him. ER, hospitalist etc not screening. Why?
Ordered coronavirus isolation, and testing. RN freaking out. Probably negative but why risk it?
