One of my coworkers is from Indonesia. She had a trip home scheduled next week and has cancelled. She basically said that it's probably a mixture of inability to test, terrible government reporting and some lying to save face and protect any tourism dollars. She thinks they probably have thousands to tens of thousands of cases due to the proximity to China.

For real protection, how about Hibiclens?

If you get Hibiclens, make sure you read the instructions thoroughly. Don't get it in your eyes, mouth, nose, anus, or genitals. Don't apply to open wounds. Apply and then let sit there for three or four minutes before rinsing it off. Don't use soap to rinse it off.

If you get it in your eyes, flush with cold water for a while (not sure how long). If you swallow it, call poison control.

Indonesia is as bad as China and Iran in spreading this. Their response to the low number of cases has been, "God is protecting us." \_()_/

They're like China's fourth largest trading power and we're supposed to think they have one case? Your coworker's right. It's probably in the thousands easily.

They don't have to report anything, but i'm curious if their flu numbers have remained about the same.
Or maybe they are "reclassifying" deaths to make it look like this is under control.

I'm somebody else who isn't a huge fan of Trump (yet I plan to vote for him this November) but the whole blame Trump for the Coronavirus is disgusting. The same people who call those of us who are skeptical about data out of China racist are now doing the exact same thing with the president. It's gross and it leads to unneeded fear and panic.

At my age, doing the math I don't know if there's enough liquor in the world to get through 10-15 more presidential elections.

4th most populous country in the world and a heavy Chinese tourist destination but yet only a few reported cases. Might want to check under the skirt before taking this one home for the evening.....

They are out of juice, bottled water, sparkling water, cottage cheese, chocolate croissants, dark chocolate with sea salt candy bars, chicken breasts, paper towels, coffee, and frozen green vegetables.

I did stock up on carrots, onions, Cheetos puffs, and multiple blocks of cheese. Also bought some Aldis brand style girl scout cookies. I can get two packs for the price of one girl scout box.

I will say they did have wet wipes for the cart handles

Other than very humid Singapore and Indonesia, the temperature across italy, s Korea, and china ranges from 40-60 F. I wonder if warm dry air limits COVID growth?

The LA doctors who helped train Chinese medical staffs (and have lots of contacts in the ground in Hubei) don't believe that its near over in China

HEB in Bryan wasn't bad. They still had stock on pretty much everything except hand sanitizer. More busy than normal for a Monday evening, but not insane by any means. Drove by Wal-Mart on the way home and it looked to be about as busy as normal for a weekday.

Some viruses that are spread by sneezing ride in tiny water droplets that will, in dry air, evaporate. Such viruses tend to be far more infectious in the winter when the air is cooler and wetter. It is quite possible that this is the same in this case, too.
