Many times. Though, never to China (for good reason.)
I haven't either. Well, I have passed through Beijing. My point was more broad though. This isn't a troll.
The reason I ask is that for probably the last 19 years (since 911) there has been a large group of people in the US that won't travel internationally for fear of terrorism. Is it truly based in reality and stats? No. You are more likely to die via lightening strike than terror attack, but yet people choose to live in fear. Should you not be cautious and avoid dangerous situations? Absolutely you should... Is it scary to think about? Hell ya.
I just feel that some people are more emotionally attached/interested in certain end world scenarios. It fuels the emotional paranoia in all of us and if you have already had the thoughts and you see all the twitter posts and then multiple people on Texags start posting frenzied emotional things, it fuels what you already want to believe to be true.
For instance, read some of the posts about 5-10 pages ago. People are quoting movies, TV shows, and books they have read that are fiction.
I am not saying you shouldn't take some precautions, but I think a lot of the reaction in this thread is overplayed. That's all. I would be willing to bet that we make it out of this alive.
