So, unless I am mistaken, this letter from the ABA is worth about as much as a letter from some random Joe. It has no meaning, other than making them feel good I suppose.
So did they endorse him before and then re-evaluated because of this temperament thing? I guess I'm in the dark on their original assessment they reference.Prognightmare said:
They're questioning his tempermament now since the rapey school boy fell through.
The president of the ABA wrote a letter to Grassley and Skeletore demanding Kav not be confirmed due to him being a rapey drunk back in the day. It was Sunday/Monday IIRC4stringAg said:So did they endorse him before and then re-evaluated because of this temperament thing? Correct, and I read somewhere the first letter was penned by the president without consulting all members. It pissed some members off.Pinche Abogado said:

The ABA is the eagles nest.

The key part of this though, is that the original rating of "Well Qualified" that the ABA made on Kavanaugh stands. This letter states that the ABA are going to reopen their evaluation based on 9/27, but are admitting that they will not give a new rating before the vote tomorrow.4stringAg said:Ahh, thanks. Screw the ABA.

The caller on right now with Rush has a great idea.
He reminded Rush of when Murk went to see Trump and request that he open up Anwar (sp?) for drilling (windfall for Alaska) for her support, I don't remember for what. He did by EO. The caller suggested that Trump remind Murk that Anwar could be closed just as easily if she votes down Kav. I like that idea.aTm2004 said:Prognightmare said:

Hmm...word is that she's wavering right now. Wonder if that call has been made.Prognightmare said:He reminded Rush of when Murk went to see Trump and request that he open up Anwar (sp?) for drilling (windfall for Alaska) for her support, I don't remember for what. That reminds me of a time my Dad and I were fishing at Smith Ranch (across from Colorado Bend State Park, Lampasas) and the river came on a rise. The Colorado river came up 12' in 20 minutes. There was a dead cow floating down the river with a vulcher on top of it eating away.aTm2004 said:
