Given that this happened in a casino, there will be an insane amount of video evidence used to piece together everything that happened. I imagine it takes a while to work through all of that footage, but we should start hearing findings from that. If they don't come out with video evidence supporting the story presented, that'll just fan the fire of the conspiracy theories even more. The less we see in video, the more likely this is not a straight forward lone wolf case IMO.

I initially dismissed all conspiracies but the more this goes on the more strange it all is. The weirdest thing to me is that no one can say how he got his money, other than a general statement of real estate. If that's true, people should be able to discover exactly what properties he bought and sold to make all his money but no one has been able to do that.

The facts are he had a low to average paying job for a while and hasn't worked in 30 years and has told people he's a professional gambler from playing video poker, which is the biggest lie I've ever heard (I won't go into all the reasons why but most have been mentioned on this thread before). It makes absolutely no sense that he's rich, if he actually is, and makes no sense how he got the money. So the arms dealer or illegal activity angle does hold at least some credibility to explain how he got the money.

If it comes out exactly how he got all his money in a legal way, then I would be much more likely to say there is no conspiracy. But everything about his wealth, and the way his brother is acting, screams that there is more to the story than we know.

It was posted already that his father was a bank robber when he was young. Is it possible that his dad hid money from these robberies and that is where the family got the money? Seems as plausible as the other theories.

I think that's one theory that's within reason. Problem is, it doesn't speak at all to why he did what he did.

It is possible, but the amount of money his father got away with from the banks was less than $500,000 total. (pretty sure it is actually less than $100,000 total but not sure).

That certainly pokes a hole in my theory.

Edit to add he also got a bank on in SF after the ones in Arizona, which means he could've got away with a lot more from another robbery, I can't find dollar amounts from the California robbery.

From a 2013 article (I know it is 4 years old) they said most Vegas hotels including Mandalay Bay do not have cameras at elevator landings and hotel hallways.

I agree with this, but why must his illegal activity involve the FBI and CIA and ISIS?

And, being a money laundering criminal in vegans isn't a motive for suicidal mass murder of strangers.

I won't be surprised if he got rich doing something illegal or if he has an alternate identity that he used. But all this stuff about CIA operations and a gun deal gone bad don't make sense because nothing about the setup makes sense for a gun deal or setup. And why would illegal gun traders kill a bunch of innocent people in a terroristic manner? Wouldn't it be bad for business?

A CNN report had a few more details about his wealth, saying he began investing in the 80s, sold an apartment building in the 2000s for 3.2 million. But still that he told everyone he made his money gambling is really suspicious. Las Vegas is a shady city. And his father when he was age 0-7 was robbing banks.

You're right. My reasonable explanation doesn't hold up. He was in the room from ateast 9/27 and he used the valet as early as 9/25, whether or not he was in the room on 9/25 and 9/26 can't be proven by any public info I know of.

It wasn't a receipt for two. This has already been discussed earlier. 2 guests does not mean two people were in the room. he used his GF's card. So registration assumed there were two guests.

I can't believe this Loomer person is still hell bent on proving her ignorance.

She has been all over that he was at the hotel prior to 9/28 and that FBI and LVPD are lying to the public.
