Not a usual poster here, but my parents has their next door neighbor killed in the Killeen Luby's mass shooting and they never really were able to decide why that man did it. Some people are just plain evil and sociopathic.
But that guy was 35...nearly half the age of the LV shooter...

George Hennard was apparently upset at the way he felt he was being treated by women in the community...angry and withdrawn. Essentially, the usual story behind many of these.

No matter what- some people will always question the story and claim a conspiracy. Seems fairly black and white he did it (they prob have tons of tape I'm sure with him carrying bags up) and people will still 'Alex Jones' talk about this.
I don't question whether or not he is the sniper...

I do, however, question whether or not there is a bigger story behind his actions...
obviously the investigators know a lot by now about what motivated him but aren't giving the public clues (unless he heard voices and just never ever told anyone). They could be chasing bigger leads now if ther was some type of money laundering going on.... I just don't yet believe that he made his living and his wealth gambling. And that he has no publicly known business affiliations or business records indicates maybe he was doing something illegal. People do not make millions as professional gamblers. Casinos don't work that way.

The gunman responsible for Sunday's mass shooting in Las Vegas wired $100,000 to a bank account in the Philippines, his live-in girlfriend's home country, a week before carrying out the attack, it has been revealed.

Murderous sociopaths who have committed mass shootings have usually been much younger than this guy was...

The thing that seems so weird to me is that pretty much every case of shootings with no apparent motive, there was pretty clear prior mental illness. They haven't said this guy had any of that other than his dad being a bank robber. Having a dad that was a bank robber seems like a pretty weak link to "mental illness" - maybe for being corrupt, sure.

Think about it. Son of Sam thought he had to appease his neighbor's evil dog or something, Sandy Hook, Colorado theater shooter, Giffords, even the Charlottesville car guy all had serious mental issues.

Agreed. That they have basically said nothing at this point tells me he was possibly involved in something big. I don't know what that is, but there are a number of things it could be.

One huge difference between this and Luby's would be technology. Hennard wouldn't likely have had any cell phone records. This guy should have cell phone records, internet history, and hard drives, at the very least. Not to mention casino footage. There will be more coming out, but for some reason, they are keeping a lid on it.

I thought the dad was a clinical psychopath with suicidal tendencies. Unless that is wrong, i would think the idea of having that illness pass to at least one of his offspring wouldn't be out of the question.

I play Poker a ton, absolutely love the game; but I know what Tilt can do to a person. It can really drive you nuts, and I'm playing $2/$4, this guy is playing $10,000 a day. I've felt like punching my fist through the computer screen or a fellow player multiple times. Maybe this dude just snapped and felt like taking his rage out?

FLASH HIDER
muzzle break

there's still flash either way

not that I'm buying any of this nonsense though
Just to set the record straight here - Flash hiders do not hide the muzzle flash from someone downrange (aka The Targets). They do dissipate the muzzle flash from the shooter's perspective so as not to blind the shooter at night.

What is on the rifle in the picture is a compensator / muzzle break. These are not flash hiders. They do lessen felt recoil by redirecting gas to the sides of the rifle.

Is there a chance this is all this was? Dude got caught up in it one night and lost everything. Millions gone on one hand or something. That might cause anyone to snap.

Also I can see going crazy if you lived full time in one of those casinos. No daylight, that oxygen getting pumped in, no idea what time it is, the bright lights. Even a couple days in one makes you start to lose it

From Pol

"The LVMPD knows the motive behind the attack, but the FBI will not allow us to release the motive because it implicates the FBI in illegal arms deals and supplying arms to ISIS terrorists within U.S. borders.

Stephen Paddock was an undercover FBI agent who participated in multiple illegal arms deals in the Las Vegas area in a gun running entrapment scheme similar to Fast and Furious. Paddock thought he was engaging in another routine arms transfer, but ISIS had learned about the entrapment scheme and Paddock's true identity. They killed him and carried out the massacre, and then fled the scene.

Everything is being kept under extreme wraps because 1) armed ISIS terrorists are still at large and 2) this is very embarrassing to the FBI and they don't want their scheme to become public knowledge.

I will be posting further information throughout the day, people within LVMP are disgusted and are pushing for this information to be released to the public."

FWIW. Not out of the realm of possibility.

maybe he was just a gun nut. You have no idea how long he had the weapons he used for the actual shooting, since they clearly weren't obtained legally. Could have just had them a few weeks

"Guy who snapped" doesnt jive with weeks of planning.

Nor does "gambling debt" jive with sending tens of thousands of dollars overseas recently.

The average age of a US mass shooting perpetrator (not including workplace violence), where the victims are seemingly random targets is 28.6 years of age, with a median of 25 and a range of 25...

64 years old, for this type of crime in the US, is a significant outlier...

Does it mean "out of the realm of possibility"? Of course not...

But it is very odd statistically...

F&F was not an entrapment scheme. The Mexican gov was not aware or involved in the scheme.

This guy didn't just snap and decide to shoot up a concert. This was planned out. Look at the placement of the broomstick on the one rifle. He had been to the range and set those weapons up well before hand. Anybody in the military or owns a AR platform knows you just don't take them out of the box and start shooting. One of the rifles has an EO tech optic on it, the other a scope, once again very well thought out and planned. If I were to just snap, I'd go buy a gun some mags and ammo and just start shooting.

So ISIS and this arms dealer set up a "routine" transfer, and decide to set it up in one of many hotels, each having more video surveillance than a bank? Not plausible to me.

Unless the casino owners were taking a slice to stay quiet, of course.
