Yeah the school thing has to be something with permissions, because no way he would blink a second between Alabama and Oklahoma Tech (does a school even exist?).

Although it is weird that they call t-sip town T.M.U. pretty much, yet Mack Brown was on the show.

I thought it was a decent episode. I hate the Riggins stole the money plot. To me it was right up there with Tyra and what's his face killing the guy and dumping the body. I was talking out loud at that scene "Oh come on! Don't take the money Riggins! Good grief this is stupid!"

Did anyone else recognize the Christian D.J. as Rory's boyfriend from The Gilmore Girls?

I didn't read all the posts above....but did you know that the TMU coach that came to see Smash was Rick Barnes, the real t.u. basketball coach? My husband and I really laughed at that one.

Aside from "Rory's boyfriend" (Logan) that episode had Weevil from Veronica Mars.

I thought the episode this week was necessary to start new plot lines and push others further along.

Carlotta leaving made me sad - Matt is one of my favorite characters on the show.

I thought it was good for them to address the inter-racial dating - especially in small town Texas. It's more realistic that it will cause issues than that it won't.

I'm wondering if Santiago actually killed that guy though - they left that hanging...

Don't have time to read all of this stuff, but what is the status of the shows future?

I ran into a few of the cast members about a month ago and they said the studio was selling all of the items from the show.

He just said he was going to play for Mack Brown - didn't mention the school name. I remember thinking it was odd to refer to the coach and ignore the school name.

I have read a couple of places that if NBC cancels the show (which i don't understand why they would, it is getting good ratings for a friday night show) ESPN would pick it up (which i don't know if that is good or bad either).

I love this show just as much as the next guy, but I am extremely, EXTREMELY, disappointed that Riggins did not get his freak on with Coach's sister in law.

Flat out unacceptable.

Great call to have Jason sell cars. I really thought his acting was great in that last scene getting the guy to buy the car. And LOL at the Chevy Hybrid promo right after it. If Chevy is sponsoring the show, it has legs IMO.

I love Landry's new girl. She is perfect for him.

And I am *still* sick of Julie. Could she be more of a biotch?

Not from a small town? Coming from a Dillon-type town, I can say that EVERYBODY, cops included, know who the meth dealers in town are. Problem is, a little $$ makes the cops look the other way. Tim has little more info on the guy than anybody else, and he lived with him.

Some of the things a lot of you consider annoying inaccuracies are a lot more real than you might think, which is part of why this show is so good.

20, you had me up until "a little $$ makes the cops look the other way." First, there's been no mention or allusion to this in the show (unless I missed it). Second, In all the "cops gone bad" stories that come out in the media, how many are about corruption? To say it never happens is naive, but Hollywood has given people the impression that cops take kickbacks/bribes frequently.

A more realistic explanation begins with the cops knowing who's dealing what, but the problem is more one of the dealers knowing what the cops are doing, and are allowed to do.

Hey, if I'm a football coach and I know what the other team's offense is going to run, then I know how to defend it, and I'm likely to lead my team to an undefeated season.

They may as well change the name of the series to "Law & Order: Dillon" or "Tuesday Night Drama with a little Volleyball thrown in".

I swear that they've spent about 12 minutes this entire season on anything remotely to do with football.

Nah, I'm going the other way with the prayer-boy. I'm guessing that he becomes TOO nice for Lyla. She's been with the all-american quarterback and the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracks; her family is in the midst of a divorce/remarrying thing; and this is Dillon.

Right now, prayer-boy (kinda kidding, but can't recall his name) is a physical representation of the God-loving wholesome life Lyla's looking for. Once she becomes comfortable with herself and her faith, and begins to walk that path on her own, she'll realize that whatshisname was really a crutch holding her up and will let him go.

It's the "sizzle" that the network supposedly asked for that's threatened to ruin this show.

Tyra's volleyball form was horrible, but she looked pretty hot at practice. I wonder if Tim's brother eventually goes to the cops to keep from getting killed. That would be a little more realistic.

So, only 3 more games left and we have seen parts of what, 3 others? I guess they play shorter seasons in Dillon. I like the characters but the show is supposed to be about how the town revolves around football and it has revolved around anything but that this season.

It shows that football is brought back around in the next episode... I agree that it's taken TOO much of a backseat this season though.
