Yeah Landry was annoying me with his refusal to admit it was self defense. It was like he wanted to go to jail and felt he deserved to.

Also, it occured to me last night that this season all the characters have really separated. They used to interact a LOT more, but now hardly ever do. For instance, Landry and Matt used to be best friends, but it doesn't seem like they have been in more than 2 scenes together all season. Sure every few episodes people get together and storylines converge, but for the most part this season the kids have gone on separate paths.

And thumbs up for Julie's boobs!

I agree that landry was being dumb about the whole situation and i am glad it is done. Although, is there anyway he is NOT an alcaholic (or druggie) soon? I don't think so.

Julie obivously still hates her Mom and the baby but maybe she will feel better after Riggins gives her the business. They are totally setting it up for this. Except it will probably be Julie hitting on Riggins instead of the other way around since she is a hoe now.

I know the mom is under a lot of stress with the new baby and all, but her character has become almost unbearable. My wife just started watching this season and every episode says "wow! She is a whack job." and I swear to her she was cool in Season 1, and it's only this season she has lost it. I hope she gets back on top soon.

Mom's with newborns are whack jobs. Their hormones are off the chart and they get no sleep.

If Landry ratted himself out, why didn't he fess up about Daddy-O burning up the evidence? If you're going to cleanse the soul, then drink the drano and let it all out.

I would still request more courtesy shots of Lyla. Non-speaking scenes preferably.

Don't expect to see many action shots with Landry.

He tore his ACL recently during the cast's weekly flag football game here in Austin.

Solid show last Friday. Anything with Riggins being forced to spend time cohabitating with other women is good TV. I knew where they were going when he "fixed" the cable TV problem, but it had much more potential for awkwardness then what happened.

Good episode indeed. Glad Landry stood up to Tyra and told her what's what.

Riggins is definately going to bang at least one of the girls in coaches house this season.

Just found this thread... FNL is by far my favorite show on TV! I'm really glad the murder storyline is resolved - as with the rest of you it got really old.

I think Tami is suffering from PPD, but doesn't even have the time to face it.

And I hate the Riggins gets the shaft when he's actually doing the right thing, although I think Coach Taylor's reaction was pretty realistic.

Saracen/Carolotta needs to end soon - that's just eh. I like her and he's probably my favorite character, but I don't like them together.

Also miss the character interaction - like Julie/Tyra - I was surprised when Landry went to Julie for advice because Julie and Tyra haven't had a single scene together all year. And I really miss the Matt/Landry friendship - hopefully that comes back into play soon...

And a serious question--there was a buzz around the girls' soccer team early on (with Rosie), but I haven't seen much lately. Did I just miss the scenes about that, or has that pretty much died out?

Ultimately, I don't think there was any where to go with the soccer team storyline. There are too many storylines demanding attention right now for them to spend any time on that (though if they had landed Rosie they might have expanded it as a ratings ploy).

Like Lost, this show almost suffers from a wealth a incredible actors/characters. I miss Street, but I barely notice he is gone because everyone else fills the time so well. We have been light on peripheral, though favorite, characters like Grandma Saracen. The greatness in so many different areas of this show almost makes it hard for the writers to decide where to go next. Which is a great problem to have, but a problem nonetheless.

The soccer coach story line was touched on when Coach Taylor first became AD, but Rosie was not cast.

I agree that there are so many great things that can be touched on (Saracen's dad, anyone?)

Yeah, I remember the coach coming in and throwing the attitude around, and then the off hand comment in this past episode about the girls soccer team taking over the visitor's locker room.

So with the seeming wealth of characters and storylines, do they trim the fat (and who decides what that is) or do they risk continuity between episodes and concentrate on different characters on different nights?

They seemed to have banked this season on maybe two key dynamics: Landry & Tyra, and Riggins & everyone else.
