sounds possible if Falco and Sigler are heavily involved also.

i'm so eager to see how this all ends.

another WOW episode.

i hope Tony doesnt die at series end, but its looking like it might be headed in that direction.

i was so pleased to see him kick the shi* outta "Coco" at the restaurant. i've never been so eager for Tony to beat the shi* outta someone as i was a that moment.

i'm truly starting to be saddened knowing this show is ending soon.

Why did he beat that guy up?

Meadow and her date were sitting in a restaurant and he comes up to her and says:

"hey arent you tony sopranos daughter?"

and she says: "Yeah"

and then he proceeds with a very cheesy inappropriate line about cream around her mouth and wanting to tuck her in every night.

i seriously got so much satisfaction out of that scene of Tony kicking that dude's ass.

It's Paulie, I think. Remember he was playing footsie with Johnny Sack last year.

I agree Orlando - I was very glad to see Meadow give Tony the play by play, and when Tony walked out, you knew where he was going. Very reminiscient of the time Melfi was raped and we were dying for her to tell Tony, cuz you knew what he would do to the "employee of the month", but such a let down when Melfi didn't open up.
Good episode - pretty intense, but for the 3rd to the last one, I don't know how much was advanced - unless that was AJ's goodbye to the series just like Uncle Junior.
Why would Phil tell Carmine to bring Tony over and then refuse to see them - just for the embarrasment?
How does Tony really feel about Meadow dating Patsi's son?

the AJ plot line showed Tony's acceptance of depression and how it messed up his kid. AJ's plot line is complete-

Notice how Christopher is gone and no one gives a crap

Another great episode.

-AJ is the perpetual screw-up in everything he does. He even screws up his own suicide. Very powerful scene when Tony pulled him out. Last week Tony had the opportunity to help save Christopher (who he had previously remarked was like a son) and chose to use the opportunity to end the life of a person bringing consistent embarrassment. He had a similar situation this week with a son who brings constant embarrassment and chose the other path.

- I loved how when the crew was all discussing the problems with their sons, they all blamed reasons other then themselves. All their sons had some form of depression, behavior, or mood disorder but no one took any blame for it. It was all biological or social pressures. These are sociopaths who all seem to severely neglect parental duties. Tony and Carm are horrible parents but they would rather blame it on genetics or use the opportunity to throw insults.

- I love how Tony is turning more and more into Livia, while AJ is turning more into Tony.

- I also was glad to see Coco get the **** kicked out of him. You knew it was coming. I loved the camera work during the scene where Tony comes into Coco's bar. It was off-center and not level causing a very wild feeling.

- They keep going back to the 2 Arabs at the Bing. We only have 2 episodes left-- will we get resolution? Will it go someplace? I still feel like Agent Harris is still working OC.

- We had problems with our satellite dish and I missed the preview for the next episode. If anybody finds it posted online, please post a link. Thanks!

Great episode. Really enjoying the final season. However, similar to the "farewell" that Junior had several weeks ago, I'm hoping this really was AJ's farewell also.

It's weird how they keep referring back to the arabs, but I still think it's a smokescreen.

Really looking forward to the final two.

that melfi storyline is exactly what i was thinking about when that was all going down. although i knew dr. melfi wouldnt open up to tony about it......i was hoping she would.

you might be able to find it on HBOs homepage. all i can say is that it looks as good as the last couple of episodes.

another interesting twist.....last week many of us were discussing how david chase was perhaps turning tony into a very unlikeable character once and for all to end the show. but then...first tony shows his human side and great love for his son in the pool scene. we all feel bad for Tony again. on top of that, we all sympathize with Tony after the whole Meadow incident.....and not only do we sympathize....we actually root for him to beat the snot out of "Coco" to avenge his daughter's honor.

then...phil leatardo decides he's gonna be an a-hole to Tony and so Tony has us back in his corner for that dispute.

and so a week after he so shockingly kills christopher....many of us are rooting for him again.

the NY/NJ storyline worries me a bit though. i'm wondering if someone like Sil doesnt see the big picture of things and how disastrous a war with NY can be, and agrees to ok the hit on Tony by NY for the long term betterment of the NJ family.

What strikes me as interesting is the choice he made of "family" versus family.

Chris had a disease. AJ has a diesease.

He choose to put Chris out of his misery because of the diesease, and yet with AJ, he goes and gets him help.

Tony chose family over "family".

^Same with sticking up for Meadow vs. knowing the implications of beating the **** out of CoCo.

One of the quotes in the preview is Sil saying: "he's been playing both sides"

What could that mean? My two theories:

1) Agent Harris using the arabs to get info on the mob and Tony to get info on the arabs?
2) Someone in Tony's crew is feeding info to Phil?

Either way, it's going to be good...and i'm going to be sad it's over.

What's interesting is that LeoTARDo would do the same damn thing, but he's built up a laundry list of things that Tony has done, this put it over the top.

nah, the arab stuff is just background noise.

we have two episodes left. it's all about NY vs NJ at this point and who all will be killed.

And I also think that was AJ's swansong. Just like all season long, they are closing the books on these characters.

Well one of the Arabs had a big part in 24. I'm guessing they'll be more to that story in the next 2 episodes.

I think the Arab thing is a red herring.

I expect Tony to "quit" - but to be emotionally broken by his real family.

The only person who will speak to him will be Meadow, and she's off to law school.

I've felt this way for a long time but after this last show, I feel that it is really going to happen.

Carmella will be killed and Tony will kill himself.

This whole season, Carm has been saying the "what will I do without you Tony" speech. But what would Tony do without Carm? She's totally worried about his safety, but feels nothing for what could happen to her. The engraving on the watch seems like a pretty big clue.

The harrasing of Meadow also showed that Tony's real family is no longer off-limits. That makes me think that everybody is fair game. I see Carm getting caught up in the crossfire and she goes down.

AJ trying to kill himself shows that a Soprano has the guts to off himself. But as Tony put it, AJ's a moron, he couldn't so it. Tony is "strong" enough to carry it out. You go out this world alone and with your arms wrapped around yourself? As somebody earlier said it, Tony is a lot more like his mother than he admits.

Also a subtle hint while he was with Melfi that there is something more than our current life. The afterlife perhaps?

Tony has been able to defeat all of his external enemies, but he has never been able to control his internal struggles. I say he ultimate does himself in and commits suicide.

Ooh, he really brought the lumber on that one.

i'm gonna go with.....Tony gets arrested for the asbestos removal/scandal

i would be highly disappointed in tony killing himself. that doesnt seem consistent with his character at this point. highly disappointed.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Mob guys don't kill wives and Tony ain't going to kill himself. I don't even watch this series and I know that.

He's going to go down like 99% of mob bosses do - either wacked by somebody else in the mafia or arrested and eventually convicted over some BS stuff like asbestos removal or tax evasion.
twilly
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Mob guys don't go to shrinks...
Mob guys aren't gay...

This is not a classic mob/ganster series. It's about interpersonal relationships and personal struggles that just happen to be set in a ganster theme.

I mean throughout the entire series how many times has the unorthodox occured? It has all been about Tony and his personal struggles. I just see his struggles doing him in at the end.

I just don't think Chase will end the show with the classic "everybody goes down in a hail of bullets" battle, or Tony just getting pinched. It seems too simple for what has turned out to be a very complex drama.

I could be wrong...the good news is we don't have long to find out if I'm right.

Why did Phil not come down and see Tony, to embarass Tony or was someone holding Tony Hostage?? Just thought it was weird that he did not come down and was yelling at them through a window.. Dumb idea but there you have it..

I predicted earlier in this thread that Tony gets wacked by the Arabs and I am sticking to it.. new sheriff in town and its not Ny or jersey..

Phil didn't come down b/c he's a puzzy, and he was walled up in that fort where you couldn't see him.

on the "who is playing both sides? " question......could little carmine be playing both sides? acting like the peacemaker (like Don Altabello in GFIII), but really trying stir up problems for his own consolidation of power. i know he said he's out of the business, but c'mon....we know he's not.
