I'm assuming the guy at the counter was FBI, and the ******s that came in and went to the john were hitmen.

They would have to not like money to not make a movie. There is going to be significant demand now. I know I want to see Tony get whacked - and hopefully by Carlo.

I don't think that was a bad way to end it actually. Created a lot of tension at the end.

That last five minutes was intense.. think that guy was fbi.. Like everyone else, I thought my satellite went out..

The emphasis on Meadow parking her car, "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey, the guy that was at the bar then went to the jon, the guys in the snookies coming in the restaurant at the end.

My heart was pounding so fast the last 2-3 minutes I could hardly watch. Can't wait till the movie comes out.

How many people yelled, "The f-ing cable went out!"

A friend of mine just called and said he thought his cable went out. That's hilarious. Can't wait for the movie. Good ending in my opinion.

I've actually never watched the show until tonight, but we just got HBO and I decided to take the opportunity to see the finale, as talked about as it has been.

As I was sitting there watching it and listening to Journey, while the daughter was having trouble parallel parking, my guess was that Tony, his wife, and his son were all fixing to get gunned down, with the daughter's parking trouble saving her and allowing her to go on about life with her boyfriend or whatever. They kind of set it up that way, you had the possibility of the guy wearing the Carhartt vest, the guy at the counter who kept looking over at Tony (the most likely), or even the black gangsta guys that came in.

I, like the rest of you, thought the satellite died right there at the end, and I was about to go crazy.

Interesting ending. Just like the Seinfeld finale, it ended in a way that was completely unexpected.

Not my original thought, but I think Tony did get killed at the end. The sudden silence and blackness was exactly what Tony told Bobby he thought death would be, while they were in the boat fishing at the lake.

Somebody wacked Tony, and the last thing he saw and heard was Meadow walking in the front door.

That was exactly the ending I didn't want, but for some reason I loved it. The Journey touch was very nice. Chase had the final song planned since Day One and that was a great one to go out with. I was like two minutes behind on my TiVo so when it quit I thought my DVR quit recording. I was about to go ape S.

The Wire had what would have been a great series finale at the end of the third season.

Tony's dead. You never know when you'll get clipped and Meadow was the last thing he saw which is why the screen went black and no music.
