Because 800 locations is considered a wide theatrical release for a documentary feature, any further theater expansions will depend strictly on its box office performance and per-theater averages following its opening weekend.

Damn, it's 3 hours long?!

Whatever you're doing stop and go see this movie ASAP.
My jaw is on the ****ing floor right now.
I'm not going to call it a "twist," but the second half isn't in the trailers at all, and is almost assuredly about to be spoiled all over social media, at least in the film world. Normally, I would have seen this on a Friday or Saturday night, but the friends I saw it with could only do 3 PM today - the very first public showing - and I was kind of pissed that I wouldn't be seeing it in a sold-out, prime-time, Friday-or-Saturday-night environment.
I've never been more happy to be so wrong.
Because what this ultimately turns into is just... next level. And two words would have spoiled the whole damn thing.
I'm not exaggerating when I say there's a 20-30 minute sequence in the third act that gave me a feeling I basically only ever get from the third acts of Christopher Nolan movies; that almost levitating, in-awe, how-the-hell-did-he-pull-this-off feeling. Except this is a documentary, which makes the feat all the more impressive. One that's partly taking place in Bryan, Texas, of all places, which makes it all the more surreal.
I fully realize that I'm likely overhyping it (and to be clear, the third act isn't some giant spectacle), but literally everyone I saw it with thought it was a "masterpiece," while everyone coming out of the theater was smiling / clearly blown away as well. It's just so damn funny, weird, and revealing, while slowly but surely becoming one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. In fact, it will absolutely be the first documentary in history be nominated for Best Picture. Hell, I might even have it as my personal Best Picture winner.
Just… holy *****
Nathan Fielder is a god.
Seriously, after this he might now be one of the great entertainers of our time. To the point where the word "entertainer" doesn't even do him justice.
I can't wait for everyone else to see this, but after you do PLEASE don't spoil it here. I say we give everyone at least a week if not more, seeing as it's still not wide wide in theaters yet.
see, it’s unprecedented and i can’t see it until tuesday https://t.co/5KDYRu8ndx

I am genuinely at a loss for words. This was nothing like what I expected and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Nathan Fielder is one of the most important artists of our time. Masterpiece. https://t.co/8B4yadzUoQ

i think if You Can See Everything was the last movie i ever watched i would be ok with that. Like i can’t imagine anything comparing to that…. journey…. My goodness
— Grace (@gracecamille_) October 16, 2026
This is one of the best and seminal films of the decade, see it as soon as humanly possible, you do not want anything spoiled, the things that happen in this film would be more unbelievable then some of the things that happen in a Marvel movie. https://t.co/3nmMNh12Rb

“You Can See Everything” is the most unique movie going experience I may have ever had. Literally if any documentary is going to pick up a Best Picture nomination it’s this one. Absolutely wild in the best way! pic.twitter.com/55nj31MpLv

To say You Can See Everything is a masterpiece of our age may be an understatement. Nathan might be the most important person in 2020s American culture

I gotta go see You Can See Everything again just to feed off of a new audience’s reactions. This movie is an unbelievable experience

just saw “You Can See Everything” and it was genuinely one of the most incredible pieces of media i’ve ever seen. 3 hours long and I would’ve watched another 3.

You Can See Everything was making me feel things and say things quietly to myself in a way no documentary OR film ever has. Go see it as early as possible before it’s ruined online or by the casual filmgoers with no decorum. pic.twitter.com/L1PPhRXwz8

This is the movie of the year, for sooo many reasons. A masterpiece. There are things in this film that will be studied for years to come
And I won’t spoil it — but the climax here had my packed audience in an uproar
This should win Best Picture https://t.co/FFgyLqJxnB
Please go see “You Can See Everything.”

Genuinely one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen. And as a massive film nerd, I don’t say this lightly: it’s easily cracked my top 20 favorite films of all time.
Bravo, @nathanfielder. Absolutely extraordinary work.
A generational…
not joking i think the sold out theater i was in is the most alive crowd ive been in in recent memory. there was obvsly the laughter, but the gasps, people squirming in their seats & actively grabbing at themselves in sheer disbelief. i can’t believe it. for a 3 hour doc lol

Nathan Fielder’s Magnum Opus. It feels like everything he ever made was just practice for meeting Elizabeth Holmes and her husband.
— WBR (@W_B_Rick) October 15, 2026
The first half is an extended Nathan For You episode. The second half spirals into something unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.
#YouCanSeeEverything is EVERYTHING. I've never seen a documentary like it; hell, I've never seen a movie like it. The way Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim navigate each conversation, each development from moment to moment, is astonishing. You HAVE to see this thing in theaters. pic.twitter.com/h9sJHHOPQj

I feel so, so blessed that I got to see You Can See Everything without advance spoilers in a packed theater full of laughter and cheering and gasps. I want this for all of you
— James F. Thomas (of IDLEWILD) (@james_f_thomas) October 16, 2026
WOW OH MY GOD? There was a moment where everyone in the theatre sat up straight in unison, I can’t even begin to describe how good this documentary is. GO SEE YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING!!!!! https://t.co/87a6i07vJo

YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING: content aside, extremely cool to see a sold-out, cheering Thursday night crowd in a giant theater for a documentary???

All of this to say, DO NOT wait for streaming. Not just because of the spoilers, but because of the audience experience. I can't remember a movie that's both this funny and this riveting, where the audience is basically fluctuating between laughing and gasping throughout. It's just such a fun, poignant, unique experience and, again, mine was only a half-full middle-of-a-weekday showing. If I can, I think I'm going to try and find a Friday or Saturday night packed-house showing.

Saw there is a Musk documentary. Haven't heard about.
It's four freaking hours long? Can that be correct?
Significant milestone today as #YouCanSeeEverything becomes the first wide release of 2026 to go Certified Fresh at 100% with 80 or more reviews at @rottentomatoes. https://t.co/9DWzxgKbhP

‘YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING’ drew a strong Gen Z turnout last night in LA and NY, with 75% of viewers under 35.

You Can See Everything is getting 'one of the best film ever made' notices from both critics and audiences. I'm ready to make the call and say this is going first documentary nominated for Best Picture. And hell, it might even challenge Odyssey and La Bola Negra for the win. pic.twitter.com/KQJWEjxrBi

1.7M previews?!?
— Phantom (@effoff1988) October 16, 2026
That could be an 8-12M OW depending on how frontloaded it is but considering its production budget is 7M and the PR budget is under 10M, even the lower end of that OW range would make this a big arthouse hit, ESPECIALLY in only 855 theatres.
BP campaign next!?! https://t.co/pnN6rpLDXa pic.twitter.com/Y2OAtqEwzI
First thing this morning, a co-worker of mine said to me (totally unprompted) that he really wanted to see “this new documentary everyone is talking about” https://t.co/4Tb5JKXTME
